'The usual suspects' will protest, [as is their right], but the reality is that the Crown Prince is the best hope for a 'more Liberal' regime in Saudi Arabia, better than ANY ruler they have ever had.

It will be a slow process, turning around the VAST tanker that is a theocratic Autocracy, in a direction we ALL wish to see. So it would be wise to encourage him and wait to see the results, before we damn him 'for the sins of the fathers'...

The BBC seems determined to get it WRONG. they have just described this [working] visit as a 'State' visit..
Which ONLY takes place betwixt Heads of State. By definition the Crown Prince isn't one.. neither is there the usual arrival 'in State, no 'State' banquet, nor any of the usual accoutrements we've come to expect..
