The stairs were unfortunately destroyed during WWII bombing.

Unfortunately, the restoration after WWII is not done as it should be and we have only pictures left. :(

Nice to get a better view of the White Palace and its surroundings. It's nice enough but not really special. It seems most British peers have far better homes/estates.

Most British peers had larger fortunes and older homes than the Yugoslav royal family. While the Old Palace in central Belgrade was built in the 1880s in general this kind of buildings in the classicist style were new to Serbia. Before these palaces were built the grandest residences in Serbie were the collections of buildings that were later torn down to make place for the Old Palace and the beautiful residence of Princess Ljubica which was built in the 1830s in a style that blended a traditional Ottoman inspired Balkan style with more Western influences.

The British were helped by exploiting 1/3rd of the world, plus the systematic that the heir inherits the whole estate vs the Continental system of equal distribution.
