What a wonderful thread! It was "buried" among all of the other threads in the main forum for Royalty of the World. I hope that it will get more attention now that has been moved.
Wonderful photos and information!

I can understand why people cannot relate to them as 'their people' I suppose. They have spent most of the time in London, and from what I understand, they cannot speak Serbian. I know that the boys have taken Serbian studies at university, but are they 'fluent' yet?

Yor are most welcome - thank you for posting all these interesting and informative articles and lovely photos. Much appreciated, indeed. The Prince Tomislav's speech was a special thouch and I thank you. :)
I apologize for addressing your post just now - I overlooked it, so sorry. I used to be more efficient when it comes to this thread (at least when I started it), but somehow I lost perspective and not feeling proud of it. :o
Yes, you are right - they hardly speak any Serbian. Not that they are not trying, though. Serbian is very difficult language, especially pronunciation and grammar - I guess the interesting detail is that Princess Katarina (who is Greek born) seems to be doing the best language wise. Princess Jelisaveta (Elisabeth George, as she is known in abroad), Prince Pavle's daughter is also doing better than CP Aleksandar. The Boys have been taking language classes at University, however, there was no public occasion for them to actually demonstrate their knowledge of the language yet, so it is hard to say how far in studying they really got. I haven't had an opportunity to talk personally to any of them, so I can only presume that they are doing a bit better than their father at the moment. :)

Yes, Serbian seems very hard, especially the Cyrillic and Latin alphabet. I think that the boys would be doing better, mainly because it's easier to learn languages when you are younger.
Blueice, it was all your information and photos, that got me interested in the RF so I have to thank you for that. Before coming here I didn't even know they existed, and I am still learning things. :p

Oh, this is such a lovely photo - I've never seen it before. Children are always so cute with animals. I'm sorry we in Serbia missed the most of young Princes' childhood years and rarely had a chance to enjoy in photos like this one. Thanks a lot Danielle :).

That's a shame, but there aren't that many photos. I will keep looking. I have two more, and one is with an animal , but the boys are older. The other one is of Prince Peter (Petar) in 1981.
I also found this Irish interview with CP Alexander. You can hear his accent faintly.

Thanks so much (twice ) Danielle! The link is great - yes, indeed, the accent is there, barely - but there. And the photos are adorable - Petar was such a cutie as a baby...:)...The family photo on ski holiday is so rare, too - they seem to be and truly are very down to earth and without false pose most of the time. Very nice pics, indeed - thanks! :)

Thanks a lot, Danielle - informative, interesting and quick as always! :) No, I haven't seen the family photo before - there might of being few similar to that one, but without children, just a Royal couple, I believe. Indeed, their photos are not easily to be found - I remember searching the web almost desperately when I was looking for some photos for this thread. At the same time, when least expected, some of long forgotten captions of family life and some family members, appeared from nowhere. I'll try to do some more research one of these days, hopefully with more luck.
