Thanks, Hereditary Princess! It was fun. Crown Prince Alexander's Head of Public Relations sent me a message asking if I might be interested in having an interview (totally online, obviously) with him. She was very quick in arranging everything, and it was kind of HRH to take part. :flowers:

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine would like to share “My birthday wish that came true”, the 75th birthday film
His Royal Highness’s special wish for his 75th birthday is that this COVID-19 virus go away forever and that everyone be safe and take good care during these very difficult times.

Crown Prince Alexander gave an interview to Story magazine on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

https://royalfamily.org/crown-prince-for-story-magazine-birthday-in-isolation/

In which he was dodging one question after the other... He just kept repeating himself that everyone was safe and taking good care of themselves in the pandemic. That is, until he starts talking about how his family had been treated (while the question was what he was proud of and if he himself had any regrets).

Have the pictures of the 50th birthday party (including Aleksander dancing with his godmother Elizabeth) been shared before?

Is that true , reading Noblesse et Royautés that Crown Prince Alexander knowledge pf the serbian Language is very bad?

Is that true , reading Noblesse et Royautés that Crown Prince Alexander knowledge pf the serbian Language is very bad?

True.

People often make fun of his Serbian either in newspapers or on Youtube. There are a lot of gaffes he made unintentionally which made people laugh.

Once he said in Serbian: "Serbia should milk a cow and take it's place in European Union." Of course, as he wanted to say: "Serbia should try and take it's place in European Union." but he used similar words that have completely different meaning and made headlines.

One of other gaffes was: "In my CALF beats Serbian heart." Of course he wanted to say: "In my body beats Serbian heart."

Once he was visiting Serbian town of Chachak when he adressed it's people in Serbian with: "My dear Chechens." instead of "My dear Chachans" which looked like he was addressing Kisti and Durdzuks people from Chechnya, which are a Northeast Caucasian ethnic group and not Serbian citizens.

Again, one more time he made people laugh when he addressed Serbian athletes as: "You are all our shampoos." instead of saying: "You are all our champions."

He now lives in Serbia for 20 years and still hasn't properly learned Serbian, neither he or his wife and that's why they are often target of newspapers and people when they make mistakes which when made have completely other meaning than the one intended.

Sometimes he get's even booed when he goes somewhere to make a speech in Serbian among ordinary people. It starts at about 20 seconds in the video.

Yes when he lives this long in the country, he should be perfect with the language, since he is the CP of Serbia. There is no need to be booed all the time. Maybe the people should remember all the support and a huge amount of supply's, he and the CPss have taken to the country through their fundraising and charities. Maybe people should remember this the next time before they want to boo them. This is just MO. A Thank you and a kind word goes a long way.
