Crown Prince Alexander II current events: February 2005-

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Yesterday (September 6), Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine hosted the official opening of "24 Hours of Elegance" in Belgrade. The 24 Hours of Elegance is an event which is three days long (ending on September 8). The CP couple's son, Hereditary Prince Peter of Yugoslavia and Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia were also in attendance.

Whilst he was at the opening, he made a speech:

"24 Hours of elegance is being held for the second time at the White Palace, and I am very proud of that. Sir Paul Judge, who represents the British – Serbian Chamber of Commerce, is with us this year, and that is very important for the development of business cooperation between our two countries. This is also a promotion of Belgrade and Serbia. I hope that this event will bring new business deals for our companies and companies from abroad. I wish all our dear guests to take with them fond memories from this event of business and elegance, and to come back to continue the cooperation with our business people for years to come".

Thank you, HereditaryPrincess! I think this is a wonderful event that the couple and the Hereditary Prince put on.

Just a slight correction to your wonderful post.

They are the royal family of Serbia now. The use of Yugoslavia changed awhile ago.

What I do think is interesting on that note however, is the British line of succession that has not updated and changed the information of the Princes (Aleksander II is of course no longer in line due to his marriage to their mother who was a catholic princess).

You're very welcome USCtrojan. :)
I was aware that they were known as the Serbian Royal Family now; I got confused as some sites (e.g. Wikipedia which I use quite a lot; even though it's known for its occasional inaccuracies ;)) still use the "of Yugoslavia" title. Thanks for correcting me. :flowers:

Crown Princess Katherine expressed her concerns on the growing numbers of people in Serbia who are suffering from heart diseases and offered her assistance to the Serbian Ministry of Health in programmes of the education of the citizens of Serbia and the training of medical professionals. In her letter, Crown Princess Katherine wrote:

“This year ‘World Heart Day’ internationally is targeting a life-course approach to the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease (CVD) with a focus on women and children, because healthy children lead to healthy adults and healthy adults lead to healthy families and communities. That is exactly what my Foundation in Serbia is doing over the years, and it is ready to provide their assistance, international contacts with best centers for heart diseases in the World and vast network of supporters for developing and implementing future programs in prevention and treatment of heart diseases in Serbia”
