On the occasion of the birthday of Crown Princess Margarita (which is today) and the proclamation of the Kingdom of Romania in 1881, there was a royal medal ceremony and dinner at the Peleș Castle on Wednesday. Crown princess Margarita delivered the medals and prince Radu attended.
After the ceremony there was a reception, where also prince Nicolae and princess Maria attended.
In the evening, Crown Princess and Prince Radu gave a dinner in the State Dining Room in the presence of prince Nicolae and princess Maria. The dinner was honored by the President of Romania and Mrs. Iohannis.
Among the guests were Archduchess Maria Magdalena of Austria and her husband, baron Hans-Ulrich von Holzhausen.

From the Facebook of president Iohannis:
My wife and I attended last night at the official dinner offered by the Royal House at the Peleș Castle, the birthday of Crown princess Margarita. For me, the royal family is not only an essential page in the history of our country, but also a symbol of the values we admire: respect for people, power to overcome injustice and hardship, and to show generosity.

Now that the court has updated more photos to their article, I must say that crown princess Margarita looks just wonderful.

Super photos. HRH the Crown Princess exudes charm, charisma, style and class. Now, Mr. President, lead the way towards a revision of the Romanian Constitution to establish a ceremonial monarchy alongside an executive presidency, combine a modern, democratic system of government with an institution that gives expression to the rich heritage, culture, history and values of the Romanian people.
Finally, many happy returns to the Princess.

Crown princess Margarita, prince Radu and princess Maria visited the City of Sinaia on 25th March. They visited the new Town Hall and Margarita and Radu planted a tree in front of it. Archduchess Maria Magdalena was with them.

This year in Romania the Roman-catholics will celebrate Easter on the 5th of April and the Greek-catholics and the Orthodox on the 12th of April. HM Queen Ana and HRH Princess Elena's husband Mr Alexander Nixon McAteer are both Roman Catholics but the other members of the Family are Orthodox. Will the Royal Family celebrate both Easters this year?
Around 90% of the Christians in the world had Easter on the 5th of April. The Greek-Catholics and the Orthodox in Romania will celebrate Easter on the 12th of April.

How do they normally celebrate Easter or Christmas with the family having Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox members.

It is hard to know if they attend Mass every Sunday and so if they are more than nominally Orthodox or Catholic.

Isn't RC Easter on the 5th and Orthodox on the 12th? Problem solved.

In April, the Chamber of Deputies decided that May 10 should be national holiday, as it marks three historical moments: the beginning of Carol I rule, state independence and coronation of the first country’s king.
“This year is the first national holiday on May 10 since 1947. Romania took 67 years and 112 days to get back to celebrating May 10 as national holiday. The event brings together 6,000 guests from all the Romanian counties and from Republic of Moldova, among whom there are central and local politicians, academic, cultural, scientific and political personalities, civil society representatives and businessmen, representatives of the diplomatic corps and of the clergy,” reads a press release of King Mihai’ press bureau.
