Born and raised abroad, he visited Romania in 1992, on the occasion of his grandfather's first visit after the beginning of exile in 1948.
On his 25th birthday (April 1, 2010), Nicolae received the title of Prince of Romania , with the rank and title of Royal Highness.

The Constantin Brâncuşi House Museum in Hobita was visited yesterday by Nicolae al Romaniei and his wife Alina-Maria de Roumanie. They were received with emotions by the locals and the authorities, who prepared a special setting for them in front of the Museum.

Nicolae al Romania and Alina-Maria de Roumanie are visiting Gorj on the occasion of the National Historical Education Tour, the caravan of historical documentary films "King's War", "Maria - The Heart of Romania" and "King Mihai: The Road to Home", an event supported by the History Channel and held in Gorj with the involvement of Rotary Club Târgu Jiu, the president Adrian Tudor also being present in Peștișani.
The visit to Gorj also included #comunaluiBrâncuși where Prince Nicolae discussed with Mayor Cosmin Pigui about the promotion of educational projects on history.

Nicolae, Alina-Maria and Alina-Maria's mother and brother attended at the launch of archbishop Calinic's book "Dialogues with Calinic the Archbishop" in Campulung on 23rd August. The launch was part of the first edition of the "Music in Romanian Film" festival, held between August 23-26. Nicolae was the guest of honour.

Dinu Lipatti House of Arts organizes on Friday, August 26, the Event dedicated to the Anniversary of the famous filmmaker of documentary films, television programs and shows, but also writer, Marilena Rotaru on her 75th birthday.
The event is part of the "La Aniversare" Program which was created by the pianist and director Alice Barb, the founding Director of the Dinu Lipatti House of Arts in 2018, out of the desire to celebrate the great personalities of Romanian Culture on their anniversary.
Starting at 19:00, in the Music Hall of the Lipatti House there will be screenings of the documentary films made by Marilena Rotaru.

Nicolae is the ambassador of "Mausolee pe bicicleta" "Mausoleum on Bicycle"
The "Mausoleum on Bicycle" project is dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the First World War, the Marăști Battlefield and the mausoleums.
Their sacrifice was honored, over time, both by the soldiers and commanders of the Second Romanian Army who rebuilt the village of Mărăști, but also by the Royal House, especially by HRH Queen Maria who was directly involved in the reconstruction of the church in the village of Mărăști and of the Mausoleum of Heroes from Mărăști but also of MS Charles II, present at the inauguration of the Mausoleum of Heroes of Mărășești.
It is an unspeakable joy to announce that Prince Nicolae will be present, in 2022, at the "Mausoleum on Bicycle".

"On August 26, I participated with emotion in the celebration of a wonderful woman, who marked the history of audio-visual in Romania - Marilena Rotaru. The "Crown Steps" event was organized at the Dinu Lipatti House of Arts, by Alice Barb, founding director.
We would like to wish her well here as well and pay tribute to all that she has achieved throughout his career.
Marilena Rotaru is a woman dedicated to the monarchy and Royal Romania, offering a voice to true history through her journalistic activity. It captures key moments in the History of Royalty and the History of Romania, despite the obstacles encountered, such as the moment when she was fired from TVR in 1991, by the communist alliance, which led her to go to Switzerland and get her first interview of the King.
If she could have come up with a slogan for Romania, it would have been: "The world began this morning and everyone knows that King Mihai is the king of Romania!"
She is a standard of the national audio-visual, journalist, filmmaker, writer and producer of cultural programs, such as the shows dedicated to King Mihai and the Royal House. In 2012, she co-produced the show "Hour of the King", being decorated by M.S. King Mihai I for his cultural activity, through the "Royal House Cross" Decoration. She was also president of the National Alliance for the Restoration of the Monarchy, and in 2008 he received the "King Mihai Medal for Loyalty"."
