About Life - King Michael I of Romania
On the evening of October 9, the Galateca gallery hosted the first screening of the historical documentary "About life - King Michael I of Romania", as part of the Strada de C'Arte project, organized by the "Carol I" University Foundation.
Nicolae al Romaniei, along with Alina-Maria, took part in the event. Nicolae gave a brief speech before the start of the screening, in which he spoke about Romania yesterday and today seen through the eyes of his grandfather, His Majesty King Michael I:
"My grandfather, I think he summarized very well what society is like today, how society was in the 30s, 40s. We understand the differences between then and now. For me, this interview is very important because it conveys the king's memories, what an example was for all of us, what role he played. But most important is the fact that today's youth will have a memory for the future and I hope that they will take more life lessons from what is told in this interview". - Nicolae al Romaniei
The documentary "About Life" is an independent project, produced by Chainsaw Europe company. The film presents the decisive moments in the life of the only monarch who lived two World Wars.
The projection from the Galateca gallery was attended by the producers: John Florescu, executive producer, Dan Drăghicescu, associate producer and Viorel Chesaru, senior producer.

Volunteering on Via Transilvanica
Via Transylvania is a brave way that Nicholas of Romania at the invitation Tășuleasa Social started in September 2019. They proposed to arrange a route that starts from Drobeta-Turnu Severin - travels in Transylvania and all of its cultural riches and up to Putna.
From Putna Monastery, Nicolae also started on a bicycle trip, along with another volunteer, together marking 133 km of the route, to Vatra Dornei. Then he was joined by Alina-Maria de Roumanie and a few other volunteers, who helped mark the route from the territory of Mehedinți county, right from where the road begins - the port of Drobeta-Turnu Severin. This is where His Majesty King Carol I of Romania arrived, when he came to the country in 1866 and also here the Romanians stepped on Romanian soil for the first time, in 103 BC.
The route has a length of 950 km, which can be covered in several weeks in whole or in part in a few days, depending on the power and desire of the traveler. The road is marked with specific identification elements, made of durable materials, that allow the good orientation of the traveler during the journey. Via Transilvanica infrastructure will provide data on accommodation and meal possibilities, the degree of difficulty of the different portions, but also historical and cultural information of the geographical areas covered.
