Nicolae has been named as the Honorary Ambassador of Transylvania Basketball Tournament 2018.
"It's with great honour that we announce Nicholas Michael de Roumanie Medforth-Mills (Nicolae al Romaniei) as TBT 2018 Honorary Ambassador. Being a former student and lacrosse athlete at Royal Holloway University, whose team won the Men's Competition at TBT 2017, Nicholas de Roumanie fully supports the values promoted by the TBT concept and will be present at the finals on June 9th. Nicholas de Roumanie will open the men's final, giving the honorary tip-off as well as awarding the winning teams in the closing ceremony. We thank Nicholas de Roumanie for helping us promote university sports and look forward on his presence at Transylvania Basketball Tournament 2018."

On Saturday, Nicolae and Alina Maria told at a wine tasting about their wedding, that they will choose 4 types to suit perfectly Romanian dishes, and the bridal dress will have traditional details. There will be 250 guests at the wedding.
Alina Maria and Nicolae: "Harry and Meghan are a symbol for the young people and the future of England in the end. It’s a wedding without obligations and they have the freedom to choose who they invited, they have close friends and acquaintances. We are very happy for them! We wish them a lot of happiness and we are excited for them as we will go through the same moment in the next few months."
Nicolae and Alina Maria confessed that they had watched the ceremony extremely emotionally since their own wedding is so close.
Nicolae: "We invited friends from all over the world and royal families. The closest are the Princes of Albania and France".
The bride will be surrounded by 3 or 4 maids of honor, all close friends, and the party will be held at the famous Sinaia Casino.

Alina Maria: "Yes, we want everyone to have fun. I have emotions but I can not wait for the day. Every girl dreams of the wedding day, but I never imagined it to be so spectacular. "
As for the wedding dress, Alina Maria has opted for a simple, white dress with a long veil created by a Roman designer.
Alina Maria: "There are subtle details, I want to find some traditional elements, but it will be a classic dress."
King Mihai's grandson will wear a stylish classic suit and has it ready.
Nicolae: "I already have the suit, but I’m thinking of making a new one. I have one more elegant with bow tie and tails and more specific".

Alina Maria: "Of course!"
At the wine festival, Ro Wine, the two have tasted several varieties and say that at the wedding, the wine will be Romanian one, to fit the traditional dishes in the menu.
Nicolae and Alina Maria: "Everything will have a connection with Romania, if it is wine or dress or music or food".
Nicolae: "The wines must be very well connected with food. There will be Romanian food, of course, probably stuffed cabbage rolls. We have talked a little about it".
The whole menu is carefully prepared by the team specially chosen by the bride.
After the wedding, the two will leave to the honeymoon, but they have not yet decided the destination.

On the first day of Pentecost I attended, along with Alina-Maria de Roumanie, the Pentecostal service at Biserica Sfântul Gheorghe Nou (New St. George Church). After 26 years, I went back and met Father Bogdan, then the parish priest of the Brancovan Church. Twenty-six years ago, I participated in the Holy Easter service, the resurrection, along with my grandparents, King Mihai I and Queen Ana.

Nicolae and Alina Maria were at Bookfest International Book Fair today. Nicolae was interviewed and he talked about their wedding and the life after that. He said that after the wedding they will continue what they have started, be involved in things about children's education, the future, the environment.

"Today, my thoughts turn to my grandparents, especially to my grandfather. My grandfather and grandmother are the ones who have been and will be my only true models in this life. Reminding me of my grandmother, Queen Ana, I remember the gentlenes, but also the assumption with which she did everything. My grandfather, however, King Mihai I, was a brave man, a true leader, and he will remain one of the most important pillars on which our world is based, for Romanians here and everywhere. Former Prince Nicolae wants Princess Margareta to their wedding: "It would be an honor for us"
Former Prince Nicolae, grandson of King Mihai, wants his aunt Margareta, the Custodian of the Crown, and his uncle to be to the wedding that will take place in September. Nicolae said on Monday in Alba Iulia that he sent a letter to his aunt in this respect.
Nicolae visited on Monday Catedrala Reîntregirii Neamului (Coronation Cathedral) in Alba Iulia, in which King Ferdinand and Maria were crowned.
"I am very excited, I think very much about my family, especially this year, not only because it is the Centenary Year, but because I will marry this year and think about them and everything they did for our country. My grandfather was a special man, a true symbol, a true example for us and especially for young people. He has always taken the best decision", Nicolae said.
Referring to the wedding preparations, Nicolae said that every week they set up something new. "In fact, last week I wrote a letter to my aunt, Princess Margareta, I asked if she ... it would be an honor, in fact, to be my godmother and my uncle to be our godfather at the wedding. And I'm waiting for an answer now."
Asked also whether he is optimistic about accepting the invitation, Nicolae replied that he hoped that this would happen and it would be a great honor, saying they would be very happy if the whole family would attend. The former prince said that friends from around 13 countries will come, as well as ambassadors, diplomatic staff and royal families.
Nicolae said he still has no emotions about the wedding, but he is sure to be more excited in September.
"Anyway, it's a very happy moment for us and we can not wait to celebrate with our family and friends".
Asked by journalists about the dress of the bride, he replied that he did not really know the details or even wanted to know, desiring it to be a surprise.
Nicolae met with His Eminence Irineu, Archbishop of Alba Iulia, and then visited the cathedral, prayed and photographed with several tourists and locals who asked for it. He was also greeted by several monarchists.
