The Rector and the President of the Senate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest have been received today at Elisabeta Palace by Her Majesty Margareta.

EUROPAfest (annual festival with Jazz, Blues, Pop and classical music performers from 40 countries around the world) was founded 29 years ago. Volunteers and supporter of the festival were invited to Elisabeta Palace by Prince Radu (Patron), ahead of the 2002 edition (1-9 July).

On the eve of the British Sovereign's Platinum Jubilee, Her Majesty Margareta and Prince Radu participated in London with Princess Elena and Mr. Alexander Nixon in an evening hosted by the Romanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

On the Centenary of King Ferdinand of Romania's Coronation in Alba Iulia, a recent creation of Vadim Cretu entered the Royal Collection of Contemporary Art. The work is a portrait in oil of the Sovereign, in the latter part of his life.

In the name of Her Majesty, the portrait was received , at the Elizabeta Palace, by Prince Radu.

The Romanian Royal House really is an example of a quite active organization exploiting the maximum out of a limited budget.

Watching how they operate automatically raises the question why other monarchies need hundreds and hundreds of staff working for them, covered by a Budget exceeding 100 million or so
 
They are not reigning , they don't need for exemple civil and military protection .

I suppose the President of Roumania will attend Queen Elisabeth's Funerals too. Where will he sit before or behind the Custudian ?
 
Today On Peace International Day, at King Carol Park in Bucharest, Prince Radu attended the planting of the Tree of Peace by children of Romanian soldiers killed during their mission in Afghanistan and Irak. The event was hosted by the Romanian Ministry of National Defence.

Prince Radu attended yesterday 22 September a "Royal Afternoon" hosted by RMS Romania (Audit Tax and Consulting Services). Romania's Bilateral Chambers of Commerce with Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain and the Netherlands attended the meeting.

Prince Radu received on Monday, 3 October at the Elisabeta Palace, a group of students and professors representing the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, the Technical University of Istanbul and the Technical University of Construction in Bucharest. The students of the three universities take part in a professional training workshop organized by the Royal Peleș Heritage Association.
