The same question could be asked of the many heads or members of families whose titles were removed after their monarchies were replaced by republics, and yet continue to call themselves by royal titles.
At least in her case, her title of Majesty has been recognized by the republican government.

In her case, she even meets with ambassadors, government officials and organisations in an official capacity. It's a highly interesting example of a quasi restored monarchy within the framework of a republic.

On 1 December , Her Majesty Margareta addressed a message to Romanian children living outside Romania's borders. The message was presented during the day by Itsy Bitsy FM, a popular radio station among children and parents in the country and everywhere

Like many people when reading from a script, you can always watch Margarita's eyes as they follow the words from which she is reading. Her first cousin Amedeo of Savoy once issued a Christmas message to Italians, and there was the same effect - his eyes would go back and forth while he was progressing through his speech. The younger generations seem to have an easier time of it.

Apparently Princess Margareta mimics the distant, stern, strict and ascetic attitude of her revered father, King Mihai. However, in 2021, a bit of a relaxed attitude and some more smiling would do wonders.
Sometimes I have the idea that Princess Margareta thinks "I have to follow in my father's footsteps" but un-intendedly she is the most stern looking royal after her late father and her late cousin (by marriage) Grand-Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte.

I disagree Grand Duchesse Josephine Charlotte was often seen smiling with her husband, Children and Grandchildren. She was very propular in Luxembourg.
i will never forget the sorrow of the Grand Duke Jean at her Funerals.
She was been ill from Cancer since years.

A nice picture. Q M is at least smiling, normally she always very stoic. But Prince Radu's smile comes across as fake, at least to me. Happy new Year.

Her Majesty Margareta and Prince Radu had an online meeting today with the Royal Secretariat, to finalize the general program for 2021.
The main actions at the Elisabeta Palace, in the Capital, in the local communities, as well as the external visits were discussed.

The Christmas Video from the Crown Princess was beautifully shot and very professional and the fire with garland behind it have it a festive feel, some of the reigning houses could take note.

In total, with the limited financial and staffing resources the Royal House has in comparison with reigning Houses, they absolutely do an excellent job over there, in Romania.
