The Public will have acces a few times , but who knows her ?
She has never been Queen of Romania but the King's Mother.

It's true that Helen was only Queen Mother but once she returned to Romania following her former husband's abdication, she played a very active role in politics and public life, far more than some Queen Consorts.

She was a remarkable woman & admired by many. If I were in Romania I would definitely attend the services.

Interesting that the Romanian Air Force will transport the remains of Queen Elena. And that the State of Romania will provide ceremonial and protocol for the proceedings. That means that the Government agreed to deploy the Defense department, military resources and military and civil personnel for this ceremony.

And a wonderful role model for her granddaughter Crown Princess Margareta!

It is good that Queen Mother Helen is returning to Romania to rest next to her son King Michael and her daughter-in-law Queen Anne. Initially, I was worried that Helen was going to be next to King Carol II as well. Fortunately, he has his own corner, it seems.

Yes, King Carol II is buried in another part of the mausoleum. His second spouse Princess Elena of Romania, Prinzessin von Hohenzollern née Helena Magda Lupescu (1896-1977) is buried on the cemetery outside the Cathedral and not in the mausoleum itself.

Carol Lambrino/Hohenzollern (1920-2006)

Carol Lambrino (1920-2006), who as a claimant to the Rumanian throne was since 1955 known as Carol Hohenzollern, Prince of Rumania, was firstly married tot Hélène Nagavitzine (1925-1998). When and where was this marriage exactly dissolved? One source says 1958, another when 1960...
Hélène died in December 1998, but exactly on what day?

Also the second marriage of Carol with Jeanne Williams (1930-1988) ended. Although I know it was in the year 1977, exactly when and where did that happen?

Divorced May 3, 1960 at Paris

Eilers doesn't cite her sources (that would probably double the book's size) but in the preface she states she "[sent] out letters and questionnaires to descendants, secretaries and archivists as well as research in newspaper libraries around the world."

The Romanian National Mail introduces into circulation an envelope+stamp on the occasion of the repatriation of Queen Mother Helen. The envelope and stamp were issued by the Postage Stamps National Company Romfilatelia and will be found in the post offices in Romania.

This afternoon, at the Romanian Orthodox Church in Lausanne, there was a prayer for Queen Helen, on the eve of her repatriation.

She has never been Queen of Romania but the King's Mother.

Helen was well known both in her crown princess days, and later as the queen mother. When she was CP she was highly involved in social work and started a nursing hospital in the capital.

Helen was also honored as a righteous among the nations for her work during WWII in protecting the Jewish population of Romania.

Its not only her family, but the people who may wish to honor her memory.

More than 1,000 people gathered in the courtyard of the Curtea de Argeş monastery on Saturday to attend the ceremonies dedicated to the re-burial of Queen Elena.
The funeral service is officiated by high hierarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church, in the old cathedral founded by Neagoe Basarab.
The religious ceremony is attended by the Custodians of the Romanian Crown, Margareta, Prince Radu, Princess Sofia, Princess Maria along with Duke Amedeo de Aosta, Princess Mafalda and Lord Peter Rosslyn.
Former Prince Nicolae was greeted with applause from the crowd gathered there. Moreover, the whole royal family was warmly welcomed by people from all over the country.

A good media coverage, live broadcasts from the most relevant TV Stations, including a lot of facebook posts by people with many followers. Queen Helen was rather unknown, and it was a very good opportunity for the romanians to learn more about her.
I was surprised by the low royal attendance as Helen was the aunt of Constantine II of Greece, Sophie of Spain, Irene of Greece and a great-aunt of Alexander of Serbia. A reburial is not a funeral, of course, but I had greater expectations, to be onest

Very interesting photos but on no one Nicolas and Alina are seen at Curtea de Arges!

The official photographer of the Royal Household at Elisabeta Palace, Daniel Angelescu, tends to guarantee that Nicholas and Alina are not shown in his pictures, even if they are present at events with Margarita and Radu.

They were there and are seen at many press photos and others. We can see Nicolae at the photo gallery of Eparhia Argeșului I have posted.
And at this photo the Arhiepiscopia Argesului Si Muscelului posted to its Facebook, we can see Nicolae and Alina-Maria

And as I have written to their own thread, they stayed after the ceremony about half an hour and talked with people and posed for photos with them.

That was not Nicholas' mother Princess Helen.

It was her younger sister Princess Sophie (with Princess Marie).
