His family has Albanian/Lebanese roots, and he interestingly works with one of France President Sarkozy’s brother Olivier, in the finance sector. His brother Pierre is married with Maria, daughter of NY filantropist and banker Witold Sulimirski, himself a son of famous historian and archeologist polish emigré Tadeusz Sulimirski.

King Simeon and Queen Margarita attended the premiere of the new book by the famous Spanish journalist Ramon Perez-Maura.
The book "Memories of a Journalist" is dedicated to the author's 30 years of work in the ABC newspaper. The premiere, which took place at the Fundación Ortega-Marañón in Madrid, was also attended by Prince Kubrat and Princess Carla.

Royal Birth - The first child of Princess Tatiana zu Leiningen and her husband Clayton Reynolds, was born the 14th of June in Toronto. Named August, like his great-great-great-great-grandfather Prince August Saxe Coburg Gotha, August Rhodes Robert is the first grandchild of Prince Hermann, first great grandchild of Princess Maria Louisa of Bulgaria and first great-great-grandchild of Tsar Boris III and Queen Giovanna of Bulgaria apart from being a descendant of Queen Victoria, Tsar Alexander II of Russia and of Duke Roberto of Parma.

Princess Tatiana of Leiningen (b.27 August 1989) [daughter of Prince Hermann of Leiningen (b.1963) {himself son of Princess Marie Louise of Bulgaria (b.1933) & her first husband, Prince Karl of Leiningen (1928-1990)} & his wife Deborah, nee Culley (b.1961)] & her husband Clayton Reynolds (b.1989) had their first child, August Rhodes Robert, in Toronto on 14 June.

Princess Carla receives the Airel Sustainable Toursm Award on behalf of the Ankawa Safari, an organization for the consercation of wild animals in Africa

The Princess supports the work of two organizations working to protect wildlife in Africa. One Ankawa Safari organizes safaris that aim to introduce tourists to local traditions and attract them to participate in projects to protect endangered animals.

The second organization is the Kifaru Tribe. It works to protect African fauna. He organizes and finances key projects in Africa to rescue the endangered

28th June, King Simeon planted a mulberry tree in the park of Vrana Palace, offered by the museum of Svaty Anton in Slovakia. The museum was formerly a palace of the Kohary Princes and a favourite place of the king’s grandfather Tsar Ferdinand
