Ruling Family of Abu Dhabi: Al Nahyan dynasty: December 2004 - August 2011
I was inspired with the thread that was done with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum’s family. I was curious if anyone wanted to try this for Sheikh Zayed. What I know for sure I’ve listed below. I was curious if anyone knows the other groups of siblings and the other wives. I’ve read that he may have had 6 or even up to 12 wives.
1) By Sheikha Hassa bint Mohammad bin Khalifa al-Nahayan
- President Sheikh Khalifa
2) By a woman of the Al-Mazroui
- Sheikh Sultan
3) By Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Al-Ketbi (6 sons and 2 daughters)
Sons:
- CP Sheikh Mohammed
- Sheikh Hamdan
- Sheikh Hazza
- Sheikh Tahnoon
- Sheikh Mansour
- Sheikh Abdullah
Any news on H.H.Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan from the Emirates? I heard that the Swiss authorities have re-summoned him to appear in Court this December 2005 and that he will be criminally charged for assaulting an American/Italian guy in a hotel in Geneva...Sources say that it sounds like the Swiss are absolutely serious about the criminal charges .....Heard the sheikh was really drunk on alcohol, whipped the victim with his belt and aggressed him violently, causing serious injuries...why doesn't this silly sheikh just find a solution and quit disgracing his good family name? Is he homosexual? Isn't alcohol forbidden for Muslims? The sheikh should resolve this situation he created and act like a real man in my opinion. He is the son of a former world-leader and brother of the current ruler in UAE, doesn't this sheikh have any shame in front his people and in front of God? He should apologize if he was drunk when he did it, resolve it quickly, and set an example for his people...not run and hide from it!
You're right...who knows what else this sheikh Falah Al-Nahyan has done around the globe or in Arabic countries....but I must say that I have read a few others sources where it alleges that this sheikh falah made sexual advances of the homosexual nature when he attacked the American/Italian in Geneva, and that the victim asked him to leave him alone and go away, and then the sheikh went nuts on him...whipping him with his belt and beating him causing serious injuries. Shame on Sheikh Falah! He deserves to be tried and punish in criminal court, as is currently happening....I'm sure it will be all over the news and all over the globe when this sheikh is charged in court! Shame in him for ruining his family name...IF sheikh Zayed was alive he would not be pleased that's for sure...but I bet his big brohter Khalifa also isn't happy about this horrbile and shameful behavior of an Emirati Royal...

Hi, I was hoping that somewhere here might be able to answer a few questions I have about H.E. Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
- When did he leave to study in the US?
- When did he return?
- When were the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) & Health and Fitness Club formed (as apposed to when ADCC held it's first World Submission Wrestling Tournament)?
I am new to this forum and would much appreciate help in my efforts to understand the structure of the Abu Dhabi royalty.
I understand that at the UAE level there is a Supreme Council chaired by HH President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler of Abu Dhabi. This is followed by a a Council of chaired by Lt.-General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. In addition there are ministeries and deputies of the rulers.
I am trying to find out if there is a separate crown prince's court only for Abu Dhabi and if so who chairs this. Further more given the similarity in names, is there any way of determinig the hierarchy just from the name of the individual?
I would apprecite if any of you could shed light on this and direct me towards any website/ published document which would give more information on the royal family.
