It was obviously the church wedding of Helena Christina Sommerlath and Jan Martin Sohns. Queen Silvia attended at their civil wedding in Bonn on 1st July. Jan Sohns is a radiologist and Helena is a dentist.

The King and Crown Princess at the jubilee of Royal Colloquium
Time: 6th September at 13:00 to 17:00.
Location: Confidencen, Ulriksdal, Solna.

25 years ago, HM The King invited to the Royal Colloquium for the first time in researchers and other experts to discuss current environmental issues.
In order to pay attention to this anniversary, a seminar is held at Confidencen in Ulriksdal in the presence of HM The King and HRH The Crown Princess.
The book "En värld i förändring - Kungliga miljökollokvier 25 år" is presented at the seminar, at the book the King looks back at his long environmental commitment.

The court updated their calendar today and Victoria and Daniel were added to attend with the king and queen at the diplomatic reception on Friday 8th September. It is interesting, because so far only the king and queen have attended at the diplomatic receptions.

The king welcomed all to the Royal Colloquium and said:
"A lot has happened in society over 25 years - and it has also greatly influenced our view on the environment. The geopolitical map has been revised. The European Union has emerged as an important factor. Technology development has been dramatic. And, not forgetting: we have actually become two billion more on our planet."
"In 1972, the UN held an environmental conference here in Stockholm. It became a bit of a start for my commitment. Today, my daughter, Crown Princess Victoria, is one of the ambassadors for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals".
Then spoke Sverker Sörlin, history historian, professor of environmental history and writer. The subject was The environmental issue in a historical perspective - from the quiet spring to sustainability.
Afterwards, Sverker Sörlin spoke with Thomas Rosswall, microbiologist and director, and Bo Kjellén, diplomat and former chairman of the UN climate negotiations.
After a break, the afternoon continued with the topic Environment - a social issue. What does the agenda look like? Darja Isaksson, Digital Transformation Strategy, Åke Iverfeldt, CEO of Mistra Foundation for Environmental Strategic Research, and Foreign Commissioner Erika Bjerström talked about the fatal consequences of climate change, which is a reality today.
The day was concluded by Johan Kuylenstierna, natural geographer and director of the Stockholm Environment Institute, and Marie Jurisoo, researcher from the Stockholm Environment Institute, who spoke about Heritage - what is the message for the next generation?
Actor Andreas T Olsson ended with a reflection of our time. Lilla Akademien played at the seminar.

A diplomatic reception was held at the Royal Palace today.
On a few times a year, the newly arrived ambassadors are given an opportunity to meet the King and Queen at a reception at the Royal Palace. Also the crown princess and prince Daniel participated in Friday's diplomatic reception. This time there were ambassadors from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Norway, Mongolia, Italy and Spain as present.

King Carl Gustaf and Victoria attended today at the meeting of the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs. The Advisory Council is a consultative organ between the parliament and the government where the King is the Chairman.

King Carl Gustaf, queen Silvia, Victoria and Daniel met today Margot Wallström, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and state secretary Annika Söder. Wallström and Söder informed them about Sweden's work at the United Nations Security Council, Sweden has been its member from 1st January.

King Carl Gustaf and Victoria attend today at "Stockholm Security Conference 2017: Secure Cities in an Insecure World" at Artipelag. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) hosts the second Stockholm Security Conference. The venue is Artipelag – a stunning exhibition centre close to downtown Stockholm. Also diplomat Jan Eliasson, Chairman of the SIPRI Governing Board and Urban Ahlin, the Speaker of the Parliament take part in the conference.

This year's theme Secure Cities in an Insecure World concerned what global security trends mean for cities and its inhabitants, as well as exploring the current and possible ways that cities have available to meet them. The conference was initiated by Jan Eliasson, Chairman of SIPRI, who welcomed, and after that spoke among others Speaker of the Parliament, Urban Ahlin, and Mayor of Stockholm Karin Wanngård.
During the day an opportunity was given for conversation between participants and various seminars were held. The king attended a seminar on violent extremism in European cities.
The Crown Princess participated in a seminar on the socio-economic integration of refugees: Social and economic integration of refugees and migrants in urban areas of the Global South.
