On Tuesday 6 September, the King, Queen, Princess Christina Mrs Magnuson and Consul General Tord Magnuson attended the awarding of The Gösta Winbergh Award at The Confidence Theatre on the Ulriksdal Palace Estate.
Here are two clips from that event, scanned by me from Svensk Damtidning.

On Monday and today (Tuesday) a Seminar was held in the Royal place. Theme was 10 years EU in Sweden. They talked about the past and the future (and I bet they were all pretty optimistic and flattered and praised each other and the project *coughing*)
Prominent participants were (except their Majesties and Victoria) Vice president of the European comission Margot Wallström, the ex prime ministers Carl Bildt and Ingvar Carlsson. Moderator was Ulf Dinkelspiel (hubby of Victoria´s so called "study mentor" Louise Dinkelspiel and father-in-law of Victoria´s best friend Caroline Dinkelspiel)

Lighter notes: Victoria´s skirt length is so very Queen Beatrix-ish. And Silvia looks quite pale for a week Australia. I´m not too fond of her combination (Chanel right?) But it seems to be her classical piece for this season. Christmas can come...

yes that is very expensive. I´m not good at currency and things like that, but just to give you an idea. I live in a one room apartment in a city centre, and I pay 2600 SEK a month for it.
So 27 000 sek for a bottle of champagne is quite alot :)

2600 SEK sounds quite good for a Swedish city. Single apartment or a flat share?
27000 SEK = 3.289 US $
As little help: 10 SEK = about 1 Euro (so 27000 SEK = 2700 Euro)
1 Euro is about 1.17 US $ at the moment (so multiply the Euro amount with 1.2 and you get an idea)
To get it more exact try: http://finance.yahoo.com/currency

From Imagine :
Queen Silvia and Princess Madeleine today attended Advent Sunday in Santa Clara CHurch in Stockholm. Princess Madeleine deeply feels for Santa Clara Church´s active efforts supporting and helping homeless, poor and drug-addictive people in Stockholm. In her academic studies the princess has made some research on this issue.

Princess Madeleine's hair!
Wow look at how long Princess Madeleine's hair is now! It is nearly as long as Crown Princess Victoria's!

Nearly the same article as last year. Also this year none of the partners of the Royal children is "allowed" to celebrate Christmas with the Royal family (which is IMO pretty normal. I think most here agreed last year)
Comment of Ann Christine Jernberg:
Christmas celebrations are completely private. The partners of the young ppl (read Royal children) aren´t in the habit of being with them and I haven´t heard that there should be a change this year.

I must say these 2 pics of Daniel are really unfortunate shots. Wow.

Wow, I didn´t realise that. Good detective work, Yennie. Madeleine borrowing clothes of Victoria...highly unusual I must say.

Borrowing clothes
Perhaps Crown Princess Victoria thought it would be a good idea to lend Princess Madeleine the dress to save Princess Madeleine having to buy an identical outfit if she liked it that much.

Showing respect and etiquette
In my opinion both HM Queen Silvia and HRH Princess Madeleine had a very appropriate look for the moment instead of taking advantage of the occasion. They behaved with great responsibility for the situation.
Unlike what some people here seem too have claimed in this discussion, in their ordinary and special “enchanting way”, I do admire the etiquette that the Royals have been showing. I would say it’s to show respect for Santa Clara Church and their supporting program for homeless, poor and drug-addictive people in Stockholm.
