It blew sharply on Prince Daniel when he was playing golf with the swedish superstar Henrik Stenson at the Pro Am of Nordea Masters.
- It blew so much, so it was difficult to play. Sometimes wine, sometimes water, said Prince Daniel to TT about his 18 holes at PGA National a bit outside Malmö.
The question is who was the king of the golf course?
- He (Stenson) naturally played a lot better, he mastered the wind in a completely different way. He has big chances to win the Masters, says Prince Daniel.

I think just the opposite. He looks much better with his glasses on. I don't want to see him without his glasses ever.
I think that Daniel has the same problem than I have, sensitive eyes. It is clear that Daniel has a problem with bright light. He is always suffering when there are photos taken where he is straight against the sun. And he has many times asked the photographers not to use flash. Lucky for me, I'm not a public person so I can use sunglasses when there is bright sunlight. But Daniel can't use them in many public events and I always feel sorry for him because he looks so miserable at the photos. I think that he, like I, isn't comfortable with contact lenses but prefers glasses and uses contact lenses only when he plays golf or other sport.

The third Sports Day and prince Daniel's Race is organized at the Haga Park on 6th September. I'm sure Daniel will be there like on previous years.
In 2013 700 children ran the Race and in 2014 1300 children. In 2013 the children could try about 30 different sports and in 2014 about 40 different.
This year the children can try about 45 various sports and the organisers are prepared to take 1500 children to run the Race.

Daniel said at his speech among other things:
”It's not a coincidence that Sweden leads the world in tech and in music, but it wasn't a given, either,” he said in his speech titled 'Where Unicorns Breed'.
”There are common elements behind Sweden's success, the four same elements ever since the Viking era: Desire for freedom, openness to the world, being a country held together by trust, and quite a few eccentrics.”
The prince encouraged Swedish companies to continue thinking outside the box, and concluded with a reminder that Sweden's success is largely based on immigration.
”Let us never forget that our openness to the world is what has built this country,” he said. ”We shouldn't forget the thousands and thousands of immigrants who have shaped our history, then and now.”

Daniel visited on Thursday Stora Enso in Falun. At a worksite north of Norberg, he got the possibility to get acquainted with modern logging equipment.

Prince Daniel got an insight into Stora Enso's operations. He visited paperboard mill Fors Bruk, south of Avesta and a nearby logging site in the forests of Dalarna.
The visit began with presentations by CEO Karl-Henrik Sundström and Sweden Manager Per Lyrvall. Sundstrom described the company's focus on sustainability and Lyrvall informed about the forest industry's importance to Sweden and the focus on innovation to find new products.
At a tour of the mill Prince Daniel got to see how the production of cardboard goes to.
This was followed by a visit to the forest with communications manager Charlotte Broden. Prince Daniel got acquainted with how modern logging looks. He also drove forest machine and felled a tree. The visit ended with lunch in the forest.
- We are grateful that Prince Daniel had the opportunity to visit us. He showed great interest in our business and the Swedish forest industry, says Karl-Henrik Sundström, CEO of Stora Enso.

It is both The King's and Carl Philip's great dream. But now they should look out!
Look, who seems to manage the farm life, forestry machines with verve and felling trees: Prince Daniel.
Already when the king was young Crown Prince, he revealed his dream of becoming a farmer. Even Carl Philip has clearly demonstrated his ambition to also walk in his father's dream track when he 2009-2012 was educated at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Alnarp. One in the family that also seems to be going around in agriculture dreams seems to be Prince Daniel.
The prince jumped up in one of the company's major forestry machine - a big John Deere harvester. It was up to the evidence. Predisposition or no predisposition to work in the woods? Daniel quickly showed what mattered. After some instructions, he sat himself to the machine and he felled a large pine tree, as if he had not done anything else.
- Prince Daniel did an excellent job of felling a tree and was very interested in forestry. The prince is warmly welcome to visit us again, says Karl-Henrik Sundström, CEO of Stora Enso.

I believe most men (and many women ) have a secret dream of driving big machinery.

Today is the Prince Daniel's Race and Sports Day at the Haga Park, this is the third time.
The program:
http://www.rf.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_65630/cf_394/Programblad_A5_Idrottensdag2015_KLAR_b.PDF

Daniel was interviewed at TV4 News morning's live broadcast this morning at 09.45.
Daniel says that the day means very much to him, it is a highlight and a manifestation of the sports associations. Thousands of children come with their parents and can try over 40 different sports. Hopefully they like some sport so much that they continue that. Jenny Alversjö asks Daniel, does he think that the rainy weather has an influence to the day. Daniel says that of course it would be better if the weather would be good. It is up to the parents, the organizers make a wonderful day which in previous years has been a big success, of course the weather has been great previously. The day is developed, at the first time the children could try about 30 different sports, last year about 40, and this year almost 50 sports. Daniel says that they want that there are "popular" sports to try to, sports which many like, but also sports which aren't so known. Alversjö says that everything points to that the children should move more. The prince is deeply committed to that, where does that come from? Daniel says that he has grown up with a lot of sports, and he has dedicated a big part of his adult life to motivate people to find a healthy way of living. It is alarming how more and more reports show how much people sit nowadays. When you and I grew up, our adventures were outside, nowadays the adventures are more and more in front of a screen. It affects to your health, and that worries me very much. It is a big problem, the sports associations and others are doing a good job, but I would like to see what would happen to the physical and mental health of the children, if there would be sports at school every day. It isn't just about the physical health, the children are having mental problems too, says Daniel. Daniel thinks that sports every day at school would be good, then the disadvantages of sitting all the time would be much smaller and the children would be more happy. Alversjö knows that Daniel is deeply involved at En Frisk Generation (A Healthy Generation). Daniel says that En Frisk Generation offers the whole family chance to move a couple of times a week. Sports doesn't have a language - or it has it's own language, despite of your skin colour or background, you can do sports together and hopefully find a context where you feel good. Daniel says that he knows that Prince Daniel's Race is the first competition for many. They don't take time. Many children get a medal for the first time and feel that they have managed something and that makes them stronger.
Jenny Alversjö says that last year princess Estelle was very fond of floorball sticks and balls, how does it look now at the Haga Palace? Daniel says that Estelle is developing, now it is many rolls and like that, it is gymnastics now she is in with. Alversjö asked if Estelle will come to Haga Park today. Daniel smiles and says that we will see, Estelle had a little "screen time" when he left, which worries Daniel, but they will see how it goes during the day. Daniel says that it is important for them that Estelle moves and like many they have a trampoline at their yard and that there is a balance and that Estelle isn't just sitting all the time.
Alversjö congratulated Daniel about the new baby and asked how it feels. Daniel says that it feels fantastic of course. At the same time one is humble, there is quite a long time still ahead, they are crossing their fingers and hope that everything goes well.

Video from ExpressenTV, the reporter says that despite the rain a lot of children came to run Prince Daniel's Race. Daniel says that they had a little bad luck with the weather, but there is still a lot of kids wanting to try different sports. In Sweden it is now talked a lot of people just sitting with screens. On a day like this it is tempting to stay inside in front of the screen, but there is still a lot of kids running. About the new baby Daniel said that it feels very good but one shall not take anything in advance. We will see, we hope. The reporter asks how is the crown princess, and that they have got a lot of congratulations? Daniel says that Victoria is feeling very well and it is incredibly nice that so many are happy with them, and it can be seen today too.

Video from Aftonbladet, the reporter congratulates Daniel about the new baby and asks how it feels? Daniel says that it is great fun, now they are just keeping their fingers crossed and hope that everything goes well. Victoria is very happy and pleased. How does princess Estelle feel about a sibling? I think that she is both enthusiastic and proud, says Daniel. The reporter asks if Estelle has had any suggestions for a name? No, Daniel says, smiling. Why today is so important? Because it is important that the children can try different sports. It is a pity that the weather is like this but we have had such a good weather before that it was expected that it would rain sometime. Daniel isn't going to run today, he is just a supporter.

Daniel gave an interview to Värmlands Folkblad. He said that he is proud of this program, and glad it's so much interest in these issues. After the lecture 91 percent of the students could see themselves as entrepreneurs. Failures are experiences. I think it's great that these busy people take the time to travel around with me and try to influence and inspire. They do this voluntarily because they are passionate about this, said Daniel.
The Prince seems to really burn for young people and entrepreneurship?
- Really. It is the next generation we have here at schools and it is so important that they get all the inputs and get to meet people that hopefully can be role models and get them to grow and dare things. It is very much about that one should dare and see the opportunities and not problems and obstacles.
Does the prince miss entrepreneurship?
- I think I get a lot out of this entrepreneurial, innovative thinking and try things in this role. This program, for example, is done from my initiative, together with the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences which is my partner. That is also entrepreneurship. But it's not about making money, but to inspire, motivate, and to some extent educate the younger generation.
This commitment to young people, has it become more of it since the prince himself became a father?
- I have always been very interested. Working with people and health, as a young boy it was the idea. It has always been something I've felt like, absolutely.
There will be soon another child, which I must congratulate you very much to. What are the Prince's feelings about it?
- Thank you so much. I usually say that it is "all over the place" and it is so this time too. But it feels really fun and exciting. Estelle is very happy. We are all excited, but dare not take out anything in advance.

Daniel gave interview also to Radio Sweden P4 Värmland. He said that the world failure is totally wrong, it is like at research, if some data doesn't work, one tries something else. And it is that also at entrepreneurship, all these "failures" are knowledge and experience, only some people succeed right away.
