This is a reason why my opinion of Carl Philip is nil now, on one hand he wants to be seen internationally as a person who cares for the conservation of nature, on the other hand when the conservation of nature (strandskydd = protection of beaches and the waterfront) hinders him to use what he sees as his back yard the nature is not worth anything. It looks as if he thinks that if he wants something, it's his right as a prince to get it, even if it's against Swedish law. My hope is that he soon decides that he don't want to be a prince anymore, but as that decision would end his privileged lifestyle, unfortunately it won't happen. Perhaps it's time that Sweden becomes a republic.
