The king attended today at the presentation of unit standard to the Ground Forces Company.

After King Carl Gustaf had been at the garrison day he took the opportunity to pay tribute to the Pride parade which was going on right nearby.The king gave during Saturday morning a new standard to Ground Forces Company.
In the afternoon, Skaraborgs Allehanda got a chat with the King. Just today Skövde's first Pride parade ever was marched nearby.
Even some of Armed Forces employees joined the bandwagon. The King noted that he had seen the parade and acclaimed the initiative - both from the Armed Forces and all others.
- I think it's nice that they're here and show up and hope that you get an understanding of cooperation. It is what it is about, we must have an understanding of all manifestations in society, and I think that's good, says the king.
Is there any chance that the king would join the bandwagon?
- Well, who knows. We'll see if it would suit me sometime but so far it hasn't matched my program.
Will it be perhaps this time?
- I think not, the train (ed. note) goes in five minutes, so therefore I am getting a little stressed here.

The king and queen had on Monday an audience with Susanna Slöör (the Swedish Academy of Fine Arts), Tomas Löndahl (the Royal Swedish Academy of Music) and Birgitta Svensson (the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters).

In the evening the king delivered the Marcus Wallenberg Prize and the queen attended too.

The king is today and tomorrow at Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences' Technology Mission. Today they visited Ludvika, with Samarkand AB and ABB, including the Research Centre HVDC, test hall Uhven, Power Transformers and the independent test facility STRI.

The king continued on Friday Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences' Technology Mission in Västerås. They visited Västerås Science Park, including expectrum, Robotdalen and cluster Automation Region. At the Automation Region they visited XM Reality Hawk Instruments and Robotics Care. Then they visited Mälardalen University, including Omilia, Idélab, MDH's laboratory for consumers' energy behavior, Robotics Laboratory and the Laboratory of environment and energy. The visit ended at Bombardier Västerås.

The reporter of Sveriges Radio P4 Västmanland said "du" to the king, when it was just last week a big story at the media about how Daniel's Marshal of the Court said to radio reporter that one can not say "du" to Daniel, but one must say "the prince". The king didn't mind that the reporter said "du". The king told that he will go to similar Technology Mission to Japan next year with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

The king and queen attend today at "Sverige tillsammans" -conference.
Municipalities, authorities, businesses, trade unions, civil society and other stakeholders are collected in order to create even better conditions for newly arrived people who come to Sweden. Prime Minister Stephen Löfven is hosting the conference, and has invited about 800 participants to a national gathering, Sweden together. The purpose of the event is to gather all forces that can contribute to improving the integration of the newly arrived people.

Cambodian activist Phymean Noun has been awarded the $50,000 World’s Children’s Prize for helping children who live in garbage dumps in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh.
Another $50,000 was evenly split between the winners of the World’s Children’s Honorary Award: Javier Stauring of the Catholic Archdiocese in Los Angeles who works with jailed children, and India’s Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi who fights against child slavery and for children’s right to education.
The prizes were given Wednesday during an award ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden, attended by Sweden’s Queen Silvia.

At 13.45 there is a lunch at Sävargården. At 16.30 the king arrives to the University, where he attends at Umeå University's 50th anniversary celebrations, which begin at 17.05. The king delivers the Umeå University's Anniversary Prize to Professor Emmanuelle Charpentier after the opening words of the Rector. The court has told that the king doesn't give interviews today.

The king met today Johan L. Kuylenstierna, the Executive Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute. The meeting was part of preparations for COP21 in Paris. From November 30 to December 11, the world's countries gather in Paris for the UN Climate Conference. The King attends the high level meeting on 30th November.

The king and queen visit today Kronan School in Trollhättan, where a man killed three people on 22nd October. The visit has been planned in consultation with the school management and until now have only a selected few knew about the Royal visit.
– The Royal couple are at the school to show their respect and to have the opportunity to meet students, teachers and school management. They also wish to express their sympathy. It is an own initiative of the King and Queen, says Margareta Thorgren.
The idea is that the King and Queen will meet with several of the students who were in the school when the violent murder occurred.
