article from www.hellomagazine.com
29 APRIL 2003
Visitors to a St Petersburg bus company on Monday may have spotted a pretty young woman at the wheel of one of the multi-passenger vehicles. But the smartly-dressed driver captured in these photos isn't just any bus conductor – it's the future queen of Sweden.
Crown Princess Victoria, renowned for her down-to-earth nature, gamely hopped onto the bus as part of her tour of the Swedish-Russian joint venture Scania-Peter. Wearing glasses, and with her hair pulled back in a relaxed ponytail, the 25-year-old royal inspected the driver's seat before happily accepting a miniature version of the Scania-bus as a souvenir.
The versatile princess, who is in St Petersburg on a four-day visit, is no stranger to unusual situations, having recently donned military gear and face paint during a three-week course in peace-keeper training. Victoria earned rave reviews for her performance at the gruelling boot camp, where she learned first aid and managed to wrap up a one-kilometre forced march in full combat gear in less than five minutes.
"The Crown Princess has handled herself extremely well," said Captain Lars Wetterskog, as his trainee Princess Victoria finished up the military stint in March. "She's a most capable girl."

Ok, Josefine I´ve translated it for you. As you already have supposed :it´s typical german tabloid-trash, but in a way funny. We could try to believe this tabloid and assume that Victoria is pregnant too-and Haakon is the father :woot:
ATTENTION: READING IS AT READER´S RISK! (because of the contraction of your laughing-muscles (face muscles, abdominal-muscles) you can get sore muscles ):
They know each other since their childhood-Victoria of Sweden(25) and Haakon of Norway (29), two royal children, two good friends, two successors of the throne, which are joined through a lot of things-a strict education, an intensive training, a life for the crown. A real burden for the (two) young people. BUT: They don´t know it in another way, they grew up with that. With discipline they do their arduous programme: representing, opening exhibitions, always smiling, shaking hands, in their homeland or abroad. That´s their normal all day life. But for the partners on their side is that often an insurmountable problem. Especially Haakon registers that now clearly. Two years ago the prince married the commoner Mette-Marit "She or nobody" he didn´t let his parents a choice. Now he is deeply unhappy in his marriage. His wife doesn´t get along well with the attention about/at her person and with the enforcements of the Royal court-and she is rebelling. Since a long time the crown prince does his royal duties alone. Victoria knows that kind of being alone. She had to cope with the seperation of her long-time boyfriend Daniel Collert, which couldn´t stand the whole "hype".
So it´s clear that she had an open ear and a lot of understanding at the exhibition in Oslo, which was held in memoriam (in the memory) of Haakons grandfather king Olaf, when Haakon told her about his problems. "She´s a wonderful woman",he told his friend Jan "I haven´t seen Haakon so rhapsodizing/romanticizing since a long time", he (Jan ;-) ) admitted. Has friendship changed into love? Insider know: Haakon visited Victoria at Solliden. "We had a great time together (IN THIS SENTENCE IS ALSO THE WORD "bathing" OR IN THE TRANSLATION IT WOULD BE "swimming" MENTIONED, BUT AS THE TEXT IS CUT I CAN´T TRANSLATE IT COMPLETLY,BECAUSE I DON`T UNDERSTAND HOW IT´S MEANT), we cooked each other our favourite meals" the princess told her friend Barbara on the phone. She hasn´t spoken of love, but she told of talks in which she could comfort Haakon ...HERE IS THE TEXT CUT!
There is a big picture on the second scanned page of this magazine http://www.ritva.com/_private/tid2684b.jpg , but that´s even not Haakon

Signature: Victoria
Victoria´s signature seems to have changed. The left picture is from 1997. It´s in stone/concrete, but I have seen then her signature on paper too, and it looked the same. And the right picture is from Hamburg last week
@Dennism
Yes, I prefer her with that kind of loose hair like in the second picture, but I guess it´s a lot of "work" to get her hair in that form. She has curls, and as I have curls too, I know, what it means to style your hair, so that you don´t look like Alanis Morissette in her wildest (hair-) days every day

Hey mixer, maybe you should ask for a job in an editoral office, which produces one of the many german tabloids. You´re creative
Ok, I don´t think she has split up with Daniel...but I could imagine, that she felt strange as only "lonely" crown princess there...especially as her friends in Sweden also married in the last 2 years or will marry...
|
I think there are better ways to earn his money. Anyway if i do not well as computer scientist I could change the business
Maybe she should marry than and make her daddy and daniel and the prime minister say yes! Seems quite stressful. Who has to be asked at first does anybody know?

Well, I would approve everybody, as long as she seems to love him. But I would also ask Victoria in the case of an IMO "bad" choice for 5 bottles of prince Henrik´s wine, so that I can stand the wedding day
To be more serious again: I think she has to ask her daddy first (Daddy has to "live" with her choice)...and to ask the prime minister also includes to ask the people. Because the people are responsible for the "success" of a prime minister. So it wouldn´t make sense if a prime minister wouldn´t approve to a future prince, but 100% of the swedish people would want him as prince...

Anyway, Yes, this is true. She would have to seek the approval of the prime minister and her father. I mean the future prince would have to win over both. First the king and then the prime minister But it is indeed unlikely that the potential prince would have the support of the people of Sweden and not the support of the government or the prime minister. Whomever the crown princess picks will need to be blemish-free enough(nobody is perfect) as not to cause controversary on the way to becoming a prince and an integral part of the monarchy in Sweden. The monarchy in Sweden has quite high approval ratings and there is a strong sentiment towards Victoria especially in light of the king´s past "PR" and other "mistakes". But she and her future husband will be the two main people of the monarchy as the 21st century rolls along. But if support for the monarchy is to stay strong, then the choice of the future Queen´s spouse is a very important first step to the long time survival of the monarchy in Sweden.
"And than they vote for Dennism or maybe Lord Vader"
I do not appreciate what you are implying here. But I take it in jest :P

Have we forgotten the lessons of Johan Friso and Mabel Wisse Smit so quickly? Johan's mother, the Queen, approved of Mabel but the government did not. So it is quite possible for Victoria's father, the King, to approve of Daniel or whomever Victoria chooses, but for the government not to approve of him.
And Johan Friso was not the heir to the throne or Mabel the future King Consort. Daniel (or whomever) will be the Queen Consort, a much different set of pressures and approval much more important in this case.
And what is considered "blemish-free" nowadays? Norway has a future Queen who had a child out of wedlock and used to dabble in drugs; the Netherlands has a future Queen whose father was responsible for the death of thousands; Spain's future Queen is a divorcee. I personally don't consider Mabel's one time relationship with a mob boss a big deal (though the lying and covering up of the truth is), but obviously the government felt the issue a big enough matter than Johan Friso had to give up his rights to the throne to marry the woman he loves. Is the future Queen Consort of Sweden who is a gym owner good enough? Is he blemish free enough? Who can really say with absolute certainty?

Yet did the Dutch people support this union? I do not know. I did not say there might be a disconnect between the royal family and the government. I meant the general public.
Well, I did say "blemish-free enough" because nobody is perfect. He will have to be good enough for the PM to accept. Yes, Victoria´s pick will be more important than Johan Friso´s. This is true. Well, it will be up to the Prime minister to weigh the "goodness" aspect of the future queen´s consort whether he be a banker, a circus perfomer, or whatever. And I hope for Victoria´s and the monarchy´s sake that there is no controversary.

I just want to clarify something from the previous page of this thread – a member of the Royal House of Sweden cannot marry without the approval of The King and the Government (i.e. not just the Prime Minister). If he/she does, that person looses his/her (and his/her offspring) place in the Order of Succession.
