Thank you very much for making such an effort (posting the many pics + the translated article), GrandDuchess :)
Hm, the pink velvet jacket on Wednesday, the pinstriped suit on Thursday, I would say it´s today then time for one of her black or beige pantsuits
Do you think this I-am-the-girl-next-door-I-recycle-my-clothes is extra "tailored" for her work in Sweden (it´s no secret, that the Swedes have to pay the clothes she wears...and not the foreign countries, she visits) or is it just the different weather (???)
BTW I agree so much Alexandria. Crushed velvet is indeed so very 90ties...and even then it wasn´t the first choice of ppl, who were known as "fashion icons". It´s simply not stylish. There are a few things, you can always wear (e.g. a little black dress a la Audrey Hepburn) but crushed velvet surely doesn´t belong to these things.

Victoria in bomb-scare
http://www.vg.no/pub/vgart.hbs?artid=274810
Victoria was heading for the airport in Tromsø, Norway when a bomb threath was called in at 14.35 saying a bomb would go of at 15.00, the airport was evacuated. Victoria and her company had to wait in building away from the airport.
ETW:We never considered traveling another way, there is not really many options here. We dont know if the threath was directed at us (Dear ETW you are not a known person in Norway, atleast not well enough to get a bomb treath your way)
The police in Tromsø did not think that it was directed at Victoria, the airport opened again at 18.15 and thet could depart at 18.45
******
They showed Victoria on the TV2 news yesterday, the reporter sounded like a kid in a candy store. Victoria was soooooo nice and charming, she was soooooo brave to take a ride at the snowscooter....

Oh, that is so scary. Stupid people who make threats like that. Ugh! I'm glad that there was no bomb, and everyone was okay. Oh yes. Brave Victoria. I wouldn't be able to go on a snow scooter, but I am scared of everything. :p What is Victoria holding in the photo? I can't quite tell what it is. Thank you for the information and photo, Larzen.

Well, to ride a snow scooter at your location in Australia could be a little problem. Victoria is used to snow, so it´s no surprise, that she is soooooo brave :p

Today, Friday 22 April, Crown Princess Victoria opened the International Science Festival in Gothenburg. The first picture is from Vårt Göteborg and the second is from the Royal Court:

Yes, but we do have snow here ... just not a lot of it. It will be the snow season soon. Yay! I suppose I could always ride a snow scooter up and down my street (well, down at least), dodge some cars, and then see how brave I am. Thanks GrandDuchess for the photos. Is it my eyes, or did she wear a shirt like that only recently? I really love her collection of earrings. Very pretty!

Crown Princess Victoria "helps" Gothenburg
Gold medal winners Team Surprise (Sweden) from this weekend
An article in Aftonbladet today says that Crown Princess Victoria is trying to help Gothenburg to win the bid for the World Synchronized Skating Championships for 2008 (which Gothenburg and The Swedish Figure Skating Association are bidding for).
Last Thursday, Victoria met the President of The International Skating Union, Ottavio Cinquanta, at a luncheon, and for the dessert they had a chance to chat to each other.
- Of course she didn't say anything, but I could see in her eyes what she thinks, Cinquanta said to Aftonbladet's sports section.
- I know that the Crown Princess and the Royal Family likes sports very much and I've had the honour of meeting the Swedish King in connection to the Olympic Games, said Cinquanta.
What did you and the Princess talk about?
- We discussed sports from a global perspective. It would have been rude of me to talk only about figure skating
Did the Crown Princess try to influence you to choose Gothenburg as the arranging nation for 2008?
- Considering her position, she didn't ask anything officially of course, but I understood what she thought.
Could it have an influence on you, for the decision?
- I'm not alone in deciding this. We are 11 people who makes the decision in June. But Sweden is a very important winter sports country and the organisation around this championship have performed the best World Synchronized Skating Championships ever.

Torleif Ingelog, chairman for the Art and Computerbank hands over the first volume of the Swedish encyclopedia Key for the swedish flora and fauna to the Swedish Crownprincess Victoria today, on April 25 2005, in Stockholm. Minister of environment Lena Sommestad and speaker to the parliament Bjorn von Sydow participated in the ceremony.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attending Wednesday April 27 , 2005 the organisation Swedish Work Environment Association hundred years jubilee. Princess Victoria had a very good time during a perfomance by a theatre group called Ad Lib. PRESSENS BILD Sauli Pulkkinen c dpa - Report/Fotomarktplatz
Hm, last night, I´ve watched a discussion show on literature (with a philosophical approach). And the majority of the participants wore black thick framed plastic glasses
IMO Victoria looks very relaxed and happy in the pictures.

I like those glasses, they look good on her. She´s only 27, and they really makes her a little more youngish than her previous glasses did.
BUT (ofcourse there´s a but :) ) I dont think they fits for an evening event, then they look to "hard" and rough imo

Do these glasses remind anyone else of Daniel's frames? Doesn't he have a pair of dark frames with a bit of "thicker" edging around the sides of the frames, too? A two for one deal at the optomertrist shop for Victoria and Daniel? :p

Victoria gave an interview to "Friends".
She talks about her time in school and her childhood....
Among other things she reveals she had two toy lambs when she was little. Once one of them fell overboard and Victoria says "it was very traumatic"
how cute :)
I dont have time to translate it now, but perhaps I can do it tomorrow!

Thank you, Yennie. Yes, would be great, when you would find the time to translate this piece. It´s quite interesting (maybe again a little bit too much about her dyslexia). The story about Lammi, the toy lamb is indeed too cute. Maybe little Victoria should have taken better care of Lammi...I guess salty sea water was the last thing, it wanted to experience/test

To the article is also a "profile" added with things she had to answer:
Name: Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée Bernadotte
Age : 27 years
Family: Father King Carl Gustaf, mother queen Silvia, siblings prince Carl Philip and princess Madeleine, dogs Jambo and Sila
Becoming happy of: being outdoors, animals and children, something you can´t resist to be happy about it
Becoming sad of: Many things, but most of all, when ppl have it difficult.
Role model: Queen Ingrid of Denmark (queen Margrethes mother) because she was extraordinary wise
Favourite food: Omnivore
If I would be an animal: Dolphins are fantastic. They are unbelievable intelligent, friendly and they look fantastic, when they move forward in the water. But when I would be an animal...surely one, which could swim or run fast or fly, something with freedom...
Is it just me, the good old nagger, who has a moody day (one of 365 ) or do you also think, that the things, she says are too "smooth"? I know this is a page for children (and teachers and parents I think) so it makes sense to act more "childlike" but in a way she always answers questions like this. I wonder, how she would answer the questions, when a good old friend would ask her them...and I wonder, how e.g. a queen Margrethe would answer them.
I guess only Swedes know "hey baberiba"-a satire programme, in which members of the RF are played of comedians. And the one (a guy) who plays Victoria always let her seem like an extreme do-gooder and know-it-all...and strangely I always have to grin and nod in approval
