King Abdullah seems to be travelling constantly lately. I wonder if he's filling in for his wife at some of these visits.

Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II
participated in performing the Jum'a prayer at Al Hashemiyah Mosque.

The King and prayers listened to Jum'a sermon by Minister of
Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ahmad Hilayel in which he outlined the
virtues of the holy month of Ramadan.

HRH Prince Faisal Ben Al Hussein, HRH Prince Ali Ben Al Hussein,
Prime Minister, King's advisor and Secretary General of the
Royal Court also performed the prayer.

King Abdullah, who led a high-level delegation including Prime Minister Faisal al-Fayez (3rd L) and his half-brother Prince Ali (R), held talks with Kuwaiti leaders on regional developments and bilateral ties during a brief visit to the Gulf state, according to the official KUNA news agency

A picture provided by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) shows Jordan's King Abdullah II (C) and Prince Ali (L) arriving 06 November 2004 in Jeddah before heading to Mecca to perform the minor umra pilgrimage and to hold talks with Saudi officials. King Abdullah will have "talks with King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on latest regional developments and bilateral relations," the official Petra agency said.

Why does Ali have a fannie pac? Is it really necessary? I don't see anyone else with a fannie pac or any bag/pac with them.

CAIRO, EGYPT: King Abdullah II of Jordan (2nd L) and his half brother Prince Ali (L) join Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh (2nd R) and his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika (R) in the funeral procession of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat as it makes its way to Almaza military airport in Cairo, 12 November 2004. The coffin will then be flown to the West Bank city of Ramallah, where Arafat is due to be buried in his Muqataa compound

Thank you for reminder it is the anniversary of KH's death. Time is flying by, isn't it? Likely, QN is mourning privately or not in Jordan as she has some upcoming commitments in next 2 days in US, giving talks.

Great photos too!!!! I haven't seen them before--or the majority of them at least. Thank you all for your contributions!

King Departs For UAE

Amman, Feb. 12 (Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday left Amman heading for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a three-day visit. The King will visit the International Defense Exhibition and Conference, (IDEX), the greatest exhibition for defensiveproducts, which is held in Abu Dhabi with the participation of 1000 enterprises from 45 Arab and foreign countries.

His Majesty is accompanied by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein and Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Khaled Sarayreh. HRH Prince Ali Bin Nayef has sworn in as a regent.
