Pakistani prime minister in Amman on one-day official visit

AMMAN (JT) — Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was to arrive here last night on a one-day official visit to the Kingdom as part of a mission of friendship and the ongoing consultative process between the leadership of the two countries, Pakistani embassy officials said Wednesday.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Pakistani prime minister is expected to meet with His Majesty King Abdullah to discuss ways to boost bilateral ties and exchange views on developments in the region as well as Pakistan and surrounding countries.
Both leaders are expected to discuss the current situation in northern Pakistan following the October 8 earthquake that killed more than 80,000 people and the efforts taken to protect the large population from severe malnutrition, outbreaks of epidemics and the freezing winter conditions.
Both King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania paid separate visits to Pakistan in October last year to express their support in the aftermath of the devastating 7.6-magnitude earthquake. Jordan Times

This is a really good article btw..I had no idea PM Aziz had spent seven years in Jordan, nor the extent of Jordan-Pakistan economic ties, the level of Pakistani investment in Jordan etc.

I would really like to see a longer state visit with KA and QR hosting another royal family in Jordan. I can't recall the last time one occured. Does anyone know if a visit is being planned? Weren't the Dutch royals to visit--but it was postponed?

No actually KA and QR were going to the Netherlands for a state visit but it was postponed because of the terrorist attacks last year.
The King and Queen of Spain are supposed to go to Jordan on a state visit next month.
