HM the Queen and HRH the Prince Consort paid in November 2009 state visit to Vietnam, and 18th-20th September there will be a return visit from Vietnam.
The president's plane lands on 18 September morning in Vilhelm Lauritzen terminal, Copenhagen Airport, where the royal couple and the royal family will receive His Excellency President Truong Tan Sang and Madam Mai Thi Hanh. Upon receipt at the airport will be welcome at Fredensborg Palace with an escort by the Regiment. In the evening royal couple hosted a gala dinner at Fredensborg Palace.
The program for the state visit reflects the fact that Vietnam and Denmark have historically had a long and close cooperation. In 2011, the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam celebrated, where HRH the Crown Prince visited the country along with a Danish business delegation.
The state visit will focus on increasing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, with particular focus on climate, energy and green growth as well as in education, culture and research.
A Vietnamese business delegation of about 40-45 companies arrive in Denmark, and there will be a number of company visits in green technology and showcasing technology and know-how and production facilities.
During the visit Copenhagen will be presented as Europe's greenest capital city and the city's diverse climate-friendly solutions will be showcased. The President and the Crown Prince are going on a cruise in Copenhagen harbor view Middelgrundens Wind and Lynetten to look at technologies for wastewater management.
The President and the Crown Prince attending the conference for Danish and Vietnamese companies to be held in DI in partnership with Agriculture and Food and the Shipowners' Association. The conference concludes with a Vietnamese food festival.
The President will during the visit have a conversation with the Prime Minister followed by press conference and signing ceremony at the Prime Minister.
First Lady, together with HRH Crown Princess visit the Mary Foundation,
where HRH Crown Princess will talk about the fund's efforts to focus on children's well-being, and together they will visit the kindergarten 'bumblebee', which is supported by the Mary Foundation. First Lady will also attend a series of cultural events.

First Lady visits the National Museum, where there will be guided tours of the exhibition VIKING whose main object is the 37 meter long Viking Aegir. The ship exhibited for the first time after it was found in Roskilde in 1997.

I wish the Queen would retire that outfit, its seen too much.

Hi Marta,
It's just the translation. For some reason Google always translates Crown Prince Couple in Danish to Crown Prince in the English. But Mary will participate in all the events.

As Roskilde points out M&F are indeed taking over more and more from the Regent Couple.
Frederik taking the Vietnamese President and and large part of the 150 strong business delegation to visit the newly restored Eremitage Slot is important. We can expect quite a number of deals to be closed in the these days.
DK has cultivated Vietnam for some years now. It is, I understand, notoriously difficult to enter a South Asian market from the outside and this is where the DRF comes in. By their status they ensure that Danish and Vietnamese businesses meet on a higher level than otherwise.
The DRF state visit to Vietnam a few years ago was at the beginning of this commerce offensive and we are now getting to the point where the fruits have ripened.
Mary and the Vietnamese First Lady will deal with the more soft topics. Nevertheless Danish pedagogical methods have been studied with interest in China and presumably also Vietnam, especially in regards to kindergartens and younger school classes, in contrast to the more strict methods so far used in China and Vietnam. (Which we Danes incidentally are studying). The Free From Bullying concept appears to one of the things that we may export as a know how. (Thank you Australia).

I always laugh at the comparison to the Teletubbies but there is one problem: there is red, purple, yellow and green Teletubbies ... and there is not the blue one 
The Queen has a lot of beautiful dresses... and she dressed this blue one for the second time in a few days ( coat and skirt, because we don't have "information" which blouse She wore in Sweden  )
