Mary and Frederik look great
Finally Frederik in Uniform

its nice that the commentators are noticing that Frederik and Mary are basically taking over more and more during the state visits...we just need more pics of Frederik from his earlier events with the president today

 Yes, Polyesco.
In the video we can see that Mary were about to place herself to the left of Frederik at the top of the stairs, but then changed her mind.
Surely you'll agree that this correct placing looks so much better, so much more stylish and complete.
Can you watch this link outside DK?

Anadolu Ajansi (Turkish news photo agency) has some pictures, including from the president's appearance at a trade and investment forum today.

I can watch the video at the link just provided by Muhler.

I'm not sure, Muhler... We all know that one of Frederik's and Mary's beloved characteristic is their more informal/relaxed appearance in all things they do. And I'm probably the same type, it doesn't always need to be so correct and stiff in my world. And I guess I'm a too informal person to understand this. I really don't see what the difference is between Mary standing on Frederik's right or left side I wouldn't even had noticed it if you haven't mentioned it
To me the couple looks just as beautiful and complete then Mary stands at Frederik's left side as at his right

Marie's dress is not new, imo. It looks to be the one she wore in 2010. She looks amazing. for me, the best dressed (of those I've seen). She's just stunning in that dress.

I think I like this room and seating order better than the one used in Fredensborg. They should use it more often.
The Queen and all 3 princesses looked very elegant last night.
But Marie put her elbows on the table during the President's speech.
I was taught that's bad manners.
Does the President have a cold or is this his usual voice?

Considering that Frederik and Mary have handled most of the stuff during State Visits for the past 5-6 years, it's about time that the commentators notice it...

Just like a true Cinderella
It reminds me of when her hat flew away a few days before their wedding. That was handled with a huge laugh as well.

Well, it does appeal to the geek in me when things are done correctly and with style - especially when the show is on.
Personally I'm not that interested in dresses, so it's the details I notice.
Anyway, it's wives and mothers to your right and concubines to your left.
If you look at the first picture, there is actually a practical reason for the costum. With Mary to Frederik's left the hilt of his sabre ruffles up her dress and bang against her leg. - And it's more difficult for a gallant man like Frederik to draw his sabre in defence of his precious wife.

Perhaps because she feels it's her duty as a member of the DRF to be present at such grand occasions.

There is of course a perfectly rational explanation for the elbows.
Our Marie, being married to Joachim who is a perfect gentleman, would normally never do such a thing.
But, she was no doubt hiding her face from a politician who tried to establish eye contact with her. Behind the translated speech she was undoubtedly thinking: "Oh good grief! She will be going on and on and on about ecological pig-farming and what's-his-name to my left will again try his circus-French on me. This is gonna be a looong evening"! - I'm convinced that's the correct and only possible explanation.

And the visit continues today.
Here is a report from BB: Tyrkisk statsbesøg: Kronprinsesse Mary fortalte om sin hjertesag | Billed Bladet
Mary and the first lady had a lunch, where Mary told her about her pet projects, i.e. promoting the rights and conditions of women.
Then they visited the Danner crisis centre for women. Established in the mid 1800's it was I believe the first of its kind in DK.
There are some 65.000 Turks and people of Turkish decent living in DK. It is an interesting, though sad fact that now a majority of the women who seek shelter in crisis homes are immigrants, first or second generation. As Turks constitute the largest immigrant group a considerable percentage of women in crisis centres are naturally Turks.
Just like in Greenland, the Mary Foundation donate rucksacks with necessary items for children and various toys. Because often the women arrive with very little.
