Got to get this out of the way first...
I LOVE HM's capelet/wrap!!! That is stunningly gorgeous and I want one!!! Maybe if I'm really nice to a Family Friend who is also a talented seamstress...Maybe? Perhaps?
Really liked Mary's ensemble and agree there was a bit of Mexican flavour to it. I really liked how the gold-ish tones of the skirt helped to bring a bit of a glow to Mary's skin too.
Marie looked good, but a nice pink or lilac on her lips and she would have looked great. Really liked her dress, but would love a closer look at the design of the "tabs" of the clasps. They look a bit like a Jewelry Design I'm working on for a necklace and just interested to see if they are. :)
This has been such a great visit and not only Her Majesty, but all Danish people, should be so proud of their Crown Prince Couple. They've handled their First Time of taking on the majority of the duties of a State Visit w/professionalism, but also making sure there's also a relaxed and warm atmosphere throughout. As nervous as they w/out a doubt must have been, both Fredrick and Mary did an wonderful job during the last few days.

The Crown Prince Couple has handled the majority of the duties during the State Visits for many years now. IIRC, since the Greek State Visit in 2009.

I agree, but this beyond their first time.
The state visits from the Netherlands, Turkey, Vietnam, Finland, China, to name a few in the past years have seen the majority of the events fall to Frederik and Mary.
earlier in this thread I posted an article from the Danish Industry that highlighted Frederik's role during the previous state visits and the Danish industry .
a few year's back Frederik and Mary went on the official trip to Chile, when the Queen was unable to go.
And this is not including the various "business" trips done by Frederik and Mary every year .

Just wondering why Mary and Marie they have both a red dress for the gala? Didn't they talk each other that they would use a red drees or it has something o do with the Danish flag?

They probably just didn't think about checking with each other.

This is our Prime Minister arriving with his wife, Solrun, to the gala dinner at Fredensborg last night. I don't know whether I should cry or laugh Is he drunk? Or what on earth is he doing?

Oh dear, not a good look at all. He looks either drunk as a skunk or stoned out of his tiny mind! I should imagine his party spin doctors are going to be all over this like fleas on a dog.

Well yes!! He does look a little tipsy. (On the way to being drunk). His wife looked like she has handled him this way before. Hope the food wasn't too spicy. But thats me. I do love a Jalopeno pepper but in a mild form.
There is an excellent authentic Mexican restaurant in Brisbane. Very hard to get a booking at times. But the food is wonderful.
Looks like we might see quite a bit of this new tiara on Mary.
