Thanks, Iceflower.
Yes, BB's Trine Larsen informs us that Benedikte went to a Christmas fair at Herlufsholm boarding school, that Nikolai is attending and they did indeed meet.
The pupils at the boarding school had arranged various events and raised the very impressive sum of 250.000 DKK for the SOS Children's Villages. So it was a very pleased Princess Benedikte who thanked the pupils at Herlufsholm and also took part in the various activities at the fair, the surplus going to SOS.

Thanks for keeping us updated on Benedikte, Iceflower.
As you know she recently opened an exhibition at Kolding Castle, Fabergé - The court-jeweller of the Tzar and the connection to the DRF.
Benedikte has for ten years been patron of the museum at the castle, which is usually well worth a visit.
Benedikte explains that the idea came about a couple of years ago and she persuaded the other members of the family to lend their Fabergé heirlooms to the exhibition.

The two necklaces hanging in the montre Benedikte is looking at belongs to Princess Elisabeth. They consists of 31 and 51 miniature eggs made from various stones and coated with enamel.
The frame at the bottom belongs to PH and it's enameled. Usually it stands on PH's bedtable.
Right, top: An egg-shaped cigarette-lighter made from bowenite (whatever that is) with gold, diamonds and rubies. In the background is an oval kovsh, which is a kind of spoon made from agate and adorned with gold, diamonds and rubie. - This belongs to Benedikte.
Right, bottom: I cigarette-holder in gold with diamonds and a gold-box with safires, diamonds and rubies. - This also belongs to Benedikte.
Benedikte doen't have the items at Berleburg. Instead they are placed in her apartment at Amalienborg. (That's probably safer as well).
At the opening were also Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie as well as a pretty frail Princess Elisabeth, who was wheeled around by her niece's ex-husband, Thomas Schmidt. (IIRC the family was sorry about the divorce and about loosing an obviously treasured son-in-law).

The medieval castle of Koldinghus that was build around 1150 and typical of Nordic castles, very much of bricks:

Thanks, Iceflower.
Yes, that's a part of the commerce offensive to China, where the DRF help promoting Danish products.
I think all members have been there now, except for the dachshunds - but that's probably only a matter of time...

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #25, 2016.
Written by Dorte Quist.
Fresh back from China, Benedikte went to Broholm Slot on Funen, https://wwcdn.weddingwire.com/weddin...t-besk_ret.jpg
for the Danish championships in dressage, in which Nathalie took part. While at the same time celebrating here and Alexander Johannsmann's fifth anniversary.
Benedikte was received by a flowergirl in the shape of two year old Felippa - who didn't see any reason why she should hand over the nice bouquet the adults had given her to a strange lady. So she held on to the bouquet and Benedikte had to move on, but later she got the flowers.
And Benedikte sure has become a mormor! Well, inside the VIP Benedikte was spotted by her grandson, Konstantin, who darted into her arms and gave her a kiss.
Her granddaughter, Louisa, was there too in a stroller. Eighteen months old Louisa at some point voiced her displeasure at mother leaving, so mormor Benedikte had to drive her granddaughter around a bit.
Nathalie told our reporter:
"We almost always bring the children along to competitions. I have a very, very sweet husband and then we have a really sweet horse-girl, who is also half au-pair. So the children always have someone they can go to. And then they also find friends among the other children at the competition.
Yesterday Konstantin was in Legoland with his dad. And that he was very pleased with".
Benedikte said:
Louisa has grown big I think. Really big. And then she's a determined little girl, who is so fond of her mother.
Konstantin has grown big and tall for his age, I think. He doesn't feel like riding at the moment. He like to ride a little in the stable. And Fabienne (Nathalie's dressage-horse) is his favorite horse. But he doesn't feel like riding for real yet. And then you shouldn't force anything. Nothing good comes from that".
About the anniversary Nathalie said:
It's probably very symptomatic that we celebrate our anniversary at the Danish Dressage Championships. We got a drink last night on that occasion. It got a bit late because we all had a cozy time outside. But apart from that we haven't celebrated the anniversary".
The scans with Benedikte being mormor as well as M&F at Ascot will be uploaded in the QMII visiting the Faeroe Islands - eventually.
And looking at the pics of Alexander Johannsmann and Louisa, there is no way he can talk his way out of that one!
