do you know if benedikte for example has to curtsy sonja? they are both around the same age, and it would be weird if she did. does anyone know if she curtsied this time?

Thank you for sharing the pictures.
The Queen looks stunning She definitely knows, how to appear like a real fairy tale queen.
I agree, that Mary looks tired. Probably prince Hamlet´s permanent sleeping phases are over
Is it just me, or has this pattern of red flowers some kind of 3D effect. To me it looks, as if someone would have added the flowers with photoshop to the pics.

To say the least, it looks quite eye-catching. Judging from my experience, the thought occurred to me that it is the perfect pattern to wear if you are a nursing mother and afraid that you will leak milk on your blouse, which can happen. In this case, the stains wouldn't really be conspicuous or just appear to be part of the pattern.
Alex looking gorgeous in my opinion, with her diamond tiara. Also, the three sisters look wonderful, Margrethe a little less so, as I have seen that dress on her atleast 3-4 times.
Exhibition at the Christian VII Palace, Amalienborg. The exhibition took place in the Knight's hall, where King Christian IX formally accepted the proposal of the Norwegian Parliamentary Delegation for his grandson, Prince Carl of Denmark. Later, Prince Carl took the name of Haakon VII of Norway. Afterwards, a press-conference took place with the monarchs of both countries.
My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw Princess Alex. WOW. I would not be suprised if the divorce rate went up in Denmark because of her. She is absolutly stunning and gorgeous. Divorce and that younger beau of hers has done her well.
So wondeful pictures! Thanks lots everybody.Princess MAry does looked elegant at the Luncheon in that black and with red flowers outfit, nice choice! It's good to see Princess Alexandra still wearing a Tiara at the State Banquet, she does looks lovely as usual, Queen Anne-Marie looks really elegant in her blue dress which she used to wear at the Wedding of her nephew's wedding last year, and Queen Sonja-a day of red too much!

Mette2, how fun for you! (He must be pretty outgoing, and have a good memory for faces if he realized he hadn't met you.)
I wish I had gotten to see him when he came to Minneapolis. Perhaps the next time he comes to the Vesterheim in Decorah, Iowa, I'll be able to squeeze away. It would probably be pretty easy to meet him there.
Well, I'd like to think he saw me when he arrived at Aalborghallen, then noticed me again when he left, and remembered that he hadn't said hello to me. But of course he probably just said that, in order to say something, which then led him to shake my hand. It doesn't really matter to me. I saw him and shook his hand, so I'm really happy about that.
Then I hope for you he will come to the Vesterheim in Decorah, so that you can meet him. Since it was so easy for me to meet him, I'm sure it'd be just as easy for you.
There was also a press conference with the Norwegian royals. Harald was asked how Danish he feels. He said that he doesn't really feel Danish, but that he is Danish enough to like Denmark. Also that he's very fond of the family who lives here, and that they're probably the part of their family they are closest to.
Haakon was asked if the reason why Mette-Marit didn't participate in the visit was out of "fear" that the baby would be born on Danish soil if she went into labor. He laughed and said that it was not because of this reason she wasn't there. He then said that Mette-Marit would have loved to have come, but they realized it would be too close to her due date, and therefore she stayed at home to relax. Harald then said she wasn't allowed to fly, which Haakon agreed with, and then he said that she sent her greetings.
Haakon was also asked since he was a father if he could offer Frederik any advise on fatherhood. Haakon said no, because he thinks Frederik and Mary will do a wonderful job. He then said it is a great joy to be a parent, and that he could only congratulate Frederik and Mary on becoming parents.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful pictures.:) Alexandra did indeed look beautiful this evening.
