How are you all? I haven't seen this photo before of the Danish royals together until today. It was taken in 1980.

Polfoto 24-09-2003 (Arkiv 26.10.1970) Kongefamilien på Amalienborg efter deres hjemkomst fra sommertogt i Grønland.Hofmarskal Ove Ullerup oplyser i en pressemeddelelse onsdag d. 24. september at dronning Margrethe i det statsråd, der er berammet til onsdag den 8. oktober klokken 10 i Residenspalæet på Amalienborg, agter at give samtykke til, at kronprins Frederik indgår ægteskab med Mary Elizabeth Donaldson.

How you ever dig these jewels up, is a constant source of amazement to me.

Thank you for giving me a peek into her earlier life.
Again, Margrethe with her extra-ordinary talent of colour combination. Blue just looks good on her.
And the love of the Dad.
All in a time where Margrethe was Crown Princess in a simpler time and place.

Okay, I'm totally confused....

How can that possibly be in 1967 when Fredrik was born in 1968?
Is this just a mistake by the photo people or am I completely crazy. It looks like (to me) the picture would come from about 1969 right before Joachim was born.

Photo agency captions can be wrong. I don't know if this is from a picture I myself have posted, but speaking for myself, I simply copy and paste the text and then attached the pictures. Sometimes I catch the mistakes and sometimes I don't.

I don't know why, but I find the picture of Joachim crying hysterical. Not something you see royals do at photocalls.

You´re not the only one, it cracked me up too. He cries during the entire photosession which must have taken quite some time. The only one who doesn´t seem to mind is Frederik, maybe he was used to it.
It´s also interesting to note that they brought a uniformed nanny on a family vacation to France. Many parents would love having that kind of help I´m sure.
