Yes, in that way, Frederik will be QMII's partner and Mary won't trail behind them.

In 2006 Q. Beatrix -accompanied by WA & Máxima- paid a state visit to president Kirchner (the husband) in Argentina. There was a state dinner in the Casa Rosada on the first day. The ladies were dressed in a cocktail dress for the banquet so no tiaras. The president was absent for the concert the next day but his wife did attend.

"I am anxious to visit Argentina again, after many years later, 53 to be exact," she says about what will be his second trip to the country, the first as a monarch, since the previous one was in 1966, when she was a princess and she accompanied her father.
"I used to travel with my husband before, so it's very nice to travel with my son now, it's wonderful that there are two pairs of feet and two pairs of eyes on one tour, it's really fantastic, especially for someone from another generation younger than mine ",

Will they take the same Flight ?

Probably. There is little reason why they shouldn't. Flying today is much safer than for just 25 years ago, so the risk is limited.
And there is still Christian with Mary as his guardian and Joachim as Rigsforstander in the very worst case scenario.

On March 20, Crown Prince of Denmark will be in Bahia Blanca
"He is invited by the company Vestas, which is of Danish origin and is installing its training center for the entire Southern Cone of America: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia, all the technicians will be trained in Bahía Blanca in person and at a distance ... Vestas has 60% of the wind farms in Argentina,"

Had a closer look.
Bahia Blanca is a city in Argentina. Located near at a large estuary and the area between Bahia Blanca and the capital of Buenos Aires is pretty flat and full of fields. - That means plenty of places to set up windmills both on land and at sea.

Wonder if he would visit Tandil, it is not far from BahiaBlanca and it is a huge Danish Community and School there .

It's far from uncommon for QMII (and PH when he was around) to spend a few days privately afterwards in the country they visit officially.

What is the technical difference between a regent and a rigsforstander ?

The regent is always the Heir - These days it's of course CP Frederik.
When the Danish monarch leaves Danish soil, or is incapacitated, and the Heir is in country, he/she will automatically act as Regent.

A Rigsforstander is appointed.
And a Rigsforstander is appointed when the Monarch and the Heir are both not on Danish soil or incapacitated.
A Rigsforstander is usually in the Line of Succession, but it is not a requirement.

Thanks, Muhler. Who appoints the Rigforstander ? Is it the Queen or the government/Parliament ?

If possible QMII. If there is no Heir in the country and the Heir cannot return within a reasonable time or the Heir is incapacitated or a minor, the Parliament will appoint a Rigsforstander.
That will almost certainly be the next in The Line of Succession.

When Frederik acts as Regent, it may happen that he will have to leave Danish soil while QMII is still away, then he will formally appoint a Rigsforstander. (I imagine that will happen in agreement with QMII. But I can imagine QMII falling ill abroad and Frederik going off to see her, and appointing a Rigsforstander on his own, because there are no one else higher up he has to clear that with.)

Will they take the same Flight ?

According to the calendar Frederik will be Regent on 16th and 17th March as well as from 22nd until 24th March. This means the Queen will already/still be out of the country on these days. Which makes me think that they will not take the same flights. I guess the Queen will travel to Argentina earlier than the CP, perhaps to take a rest after the long flight and before the state visit starts, and she will stay longer, perhaps combining the state visit with a private holiday.

BB writes today that the reason for QMII and Frederik not flying to Argentina together is for security reasons. They will however meet in Buenos Aires prior to the start of the visit there.
