What language do the Faroese speak Gloriana? I went to the Faroese website and the islands look absolutely stunning and breathtaking!!!!! Plus you have the kind of weather that I love - rain and cold. I live in sunny California and it's hot!!! I also like the native Faroese costumes. I want to come and visit:-)

The Faroese speak Faroese. It's fairly similar to Icelandic as both languages are derived from the way people spoke in Norway when the Norwegians emigrated there from around 900 AD. It is actually more similar to that than the Norwegian that is spoken in Norway today.

Back in Klaksvig, the Crown Princely couple visited part of the eccentric or just unusual Australian colony on the Faroes which consists merely of 5 people. Here Mary was able to greet Natasja Johanneson who has lived for 5 years in the Faroes with her husband and two children. Natasja is a member of the native peoples of Australia who are called the Aborigines(a term which some of the indigenous peoples of Australia find insulting.) She met her Faroese husband at a recycling business in Adelaide.
Monday's pink dress, hat, scarf and gloves with cream coat was my favorite.
I liked the traditional outfit and even the down coat (I didn't know it was possible to look slim in a down coat! I always look like the Michelin man) and pants she wore the other days - but wearing them every day! I missed the pretty clothes she wore the first day. Maybe after the first day she realized it was too cold for the pretty clothes and decided to stick with the practical down coat and local outfit which was made for the local weather?
Regardless, she looked beautiful. The whole family looked happy and relaxed.
