Danish Royal Family Pictures, Part 1

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I tripped over this picture and the story behind is one of my favorites: http://www.bt.dk/sites/default/files-dk/node-images/539/2/2539924-prins-henrik.jpg

After a lunch onboard Dannebrog Prince Henrik went ashore accompanied by one of QMII's LiW's in order to stroll the couple of hundred meters to Amalienborg.
When he spotted the press and onlookers PH put his arm around her and laughed: "Please don't think I have more mistresses (*) then her, because I haven't". Amusing everyone.

(*) Yes mistress, as in a liason of the heart.

LOL...classic Henrik humor :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Fantastic, thanks for sharing Muhler!! :flowers:

Now because it's almost Christmas and because it's windy today, in fact several pensioners and small dogs have flown past the windows already, here is a little treat curtesy BB. https://app.box.com/s/4912xn2z8bhgq1wvv2v7

That also include a couple of tidbits about the children.

Bella, as we all know, is the entertainer of the family, who might sing or dance spontaneously completely undisturbed by photographers and whoever is looking.
But she is also evolving into the older sister and she is content with taking the backseat when she finds it appropriate. Like at Gråsten.

Christian is the sporty older brother. Full of self confidence with a keen interest in sports. He is playing soccer at a club in Hellerup. And a goal has been set up in the backyard of Amalienborg, no doubt because of Christan.
He is also an eager pianoplayer and he takes lessons at home at Amalienborg. (Notice the heavy-metal salute he gives daddy in one of the pics during Frederik's Ironman).

Athena, the youngest. Joachim probably summarize her best: "She is much calmer (than her brothers). She's a determined girl, so we are not getting more peace and quiet because of that, but in her way she's certainly calmer.
She'll play with dolls eventually alright, no doubt about that, but for the time being the influence is mostly from Henrik, who has inherited it from the other two".

Bette Henrik. Has learned to read, at least to some extent. He's a pretty good skier and he knows a lot about racing cars!
He's fond of music.

Felix. (Who must possess a considerable charm, because he has obviously managed to ring all BB's reporters around his little finger)!
He appears to have a creative and slightly quirky mind. He's a keen swimmer and he has a unique voice, soft and easy but slightly husky at the same time.

Nikolai, the model older brother. One major interest is to play bass-guitar. He is very fond of Athena "because she's so sweet and genlte - mostly at least".

I stumbled across this adorable photo of Prince Henrik (Senior) with Prince Felix and Princess Isabella:

Prince Felix looks a lot like his brother Little Henrik in that photo.

A continously updated folder with fashion items worn by mainly the female members of the DRF, with particular emphasiz on Mary, but other royals are represented as well. https://app.box.com/s/42c4fn4mw1pkcjt0tv81

The brand they are wearing is written in bold.

Found this picture of Henrik, Margrethe, Frederik and Joachim with Henrik's parents

sorry if it has been posted before. I think Frederik looks like Josephine in the pic

Thank you Polyesco.
I have never seen this pic before.I have to disagree with you,Josephine doesn't look like Frederic.
It's Isabella who is a copy of her dad at the same age.I almost thought it was her:D

Oh I agree. Isabella is Frederik's mini-me 100%. ;)
I always though Josephine is Mary's mini-me but in this pic, Frederik reminded me of Josephine, maybe in the way he is somewhat frowning. :)

A nice snapshot of PH visiting the hippie-enclave of Christiania in Copenhagen.

That endeared him to many - especially as the politicians at the exact same time discussed how risky it would be for them to go there and how they would require half the police force in Copenhagen to ensure their safety.
PH went there with a PET officer and a couple of friends...

It appears he was visiting an art gallery.

These are technically speaking not pics of QMII, but...

It's the brilliant QMII impersonator Ulf Pilgaard, who can impersonate her looks and gestures bordering on being spooky!

And the two of them: http://b.bimg.dk/node-images/377/2/2200x/2377821-ulf-pilgaard-og-dronningen.jpg
In fact Ulf Pilgaard and QMII have met on several occasions and even danced les lanciers together, after specific request from QMII, mind you!
He has also, deservedly, been decorated with the Knights Cross - and of course thanked Her Majesty at an audience shortly after.

Great! Especially loved the one with the ''twins.'' Thanks, Muhler

The BB calendar for 2015 is out: https://app.box.com/s/1xp8y2p7nl0y9621s9w6

You are welcome, MidwestMom :)

BB is up.

Loved the pictures! Thank you so much for sharing this with us :) You Danes are so lucky to have a royal family that share these experiences with the people (not the photos but the photo opportunities) Thanks again :)

Great photos from BB as you say haven't seen many of them before.

The other day I came across this wonderful photo of Joachim and Marie, which I think was taken in connection with their sixth anniversary.

I also came across this adorable older photo. I think the little girls in the photo are a young Queen Margrethe (then Princess) and Princess Benedikte at a St. Lucia event, but I'm not sure what year it was taken.

On the occasion of this being the anniversary of Queen Ingrid and King Frederik IX BB has compiled a gallery of covers covering the DRF since that marriage: GALLERI: Kong Frederik og dronning Ingrid i forsider | Billed Bladet

QMII and her sisters are well represented.

Most of the pics until #11 are from the Occupation, where the DRF became a rallying point. And not least the CP-couple after Christian X fell from his horse and was more or less invalided.
The captions provide a brief summary of the circumstances of the pics. If you want to know details, just ask one of us DK members.

Pic #25, is probably one of the sweetest episodes in the DRF. Queen Ingrid and her daughters waited at the quay for Frederik IX who had been on a tour to Greenland aboard Dannebrog. And the daughters were very glad to see dad again!
As you can also see in thips clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNWHdus00zQ
