Dronningens jul: And, risengrød og hjemmelavede gaver | BT Underholdning - www.bt.dk
"I's nice that we can all gather at the same time, so that I look very much forward to. It'll be cozy and fun.
One is very much into traditions. There must be rice-porridge, and there must be duck. In my family we have never eaten risalamande, (*) We eat rice-porridge. And in there is the almond. And there is of course an almond-present to the one who gets the almond.
(There is no such thing as ensuring the children gets the almond in the DRF)
It has to be genuine. That's also how it was when I was a child. There was only one almond, and there was no cheating. It could be my father or one of us children who got it. That was down to chance, and that's how we have always done it. I actually think both my sons found that fun and exciting when they were children.
(The present are often homemade).
As children we certainly always made the presents ourselves, more or less. When I was little I painted hangers (to hang clothes on), that was something practical. And it's not a few hangers that were painted, when I was a child, that I remember.
I have also done it as an adult (made homemade presents). That could for example be something I have embroidered".
