I wonder how Princess Elisabeth arrives?

Yes, princess Marie in recycling gown from Princess Madeleine's wedding.

CP Mary in a new (finally ) beautiful white gown! Unfortunately, she had her black cape on, would wish we could have seen more of the gown.

Queen Margrethe in her dark green dress and big fur cloak. Recycling I think.

I can't but feel a bit sorry for them that they never can just relax on the 1th January

They all look great tonight!

First picture of Mary and Frederik:
It's the first time since 2010 we see a new gown on Mary for New Year's Banquet.

Happy New Year to all.

Finally a gallery from BT

Again, the continental royals know what they're doing at events like this. They always look regal, royal and modern, and they don't mind letting the people see them in that manner.

Beautiful pictures.

As usual, I so look forward to seeing these New Year events with the Danish Royal Family - the family are very modern, forward thinking and approachable, yet carry off these traditional events in the most royal way, thus cleverly mixing modern and tradition with great ease.

Those are the same photos that have been posted, which also includes a screencap I took and posted on my tumblr as well as the photos that Royal Watcher screengrabbed.

I don't speak Russian, but I'm willing to bet they didn't give credit.

Please, will everyone check to see what others have posted before posting the same stuff again? It's very frustrating to see the same photos being posted again and again.

ETA: BB has a nice photo of Mary & Fred: http://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige...aa-amalienborg

I agree. I just like the way they do things.

I love this time of year when the New Years Courts are in full swing. What's not to like to see the men dressed up in uniform and the bling and beautiful gowns worn by the ladies.
These royals must have great discipline when it comes to food. They just finished with Christmas feasting and now have to eat rich food again during the New Years Courts. No wonder Mary runs/jogs to burn off all the calories consumed. I imagine Prss Marie has a some gym/exercise equipment she uses at home. Or perhaps she has a naturally friendly metabolism.

Can somebody put together something that shows what outfits the 3 M's have worn at NYC over the years?

Always such a great event. thanks everyone for the links.
No better way to start off the new year than Frederik in uniform. He looks great. Mary too.

The PM had a wonderful choice of dress! Good for her.

Mary looks great. Freddie, as usual, was her best accessory or vice versa. Marie's dress was easier for me to figure out in the lighting, though and the dress was very pretty.

This is such a great tradition!

It is a very nice tradition and I'm glad they allow it to be seen.

I like Crown Prince Frederik in this uniform.
He always has a sovereignly outlook, whether he is attired in a uniform, a Sunday dress suit, or casual clothes.
