Comparing with her elder sister, the Queen, Princess Benedikte, even at minor royal engagements such as this, is always so elegantly dressed!

QMII herself has pointed out that stains simply don't dare come anywhere near Benedikte! And that's how it has always been.
Since it seems like QMII and sisters stay at Gråsten in the early part of the summer, I think we can hope for M&F to take over in a week or two - and remain there for the annual ringrider-procession.
DK has basically opened up now, no masks are required except in public transport and a few other places. gatherings are allowed as well.
So we can hope to see Mary and the children particular receiving flowers from the riders. That includes my favorite-ham within the DRF, Josephine.
ADDED: Another member has made me aware that the ringrider procession this year has been cancelled.
However, I think there is still hope.
Because the vaccination process which was scheduled to end in September has been rolled forward by weeks, due to DK buying a million doses of vaccines from Romania and extra large deliveries of the vaccines already ordered.
So I think there is a hope that some sort of ringrider event will be able to take place after all.
I mean we have huge crowds gathering to watch - and not least celebrate - soccer. Restaurants, family events, shows and other major public gatherings are almost back to normal by now.

The Court has released a spectacular rainbow photo of Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte (and someone else ) at Grasten. It was taken on the eve of the soccer match between Denmark and England and the ladies wore red and white in support of their team

That's a wonderful photo and post.
They are gonna shovel in likes on that one!
But I find it hard to imagine QMII watching a soccer match, no matter how interesting it may be.
Benedikte might - if they players were riding horses.

I thought Queen Margrethe was the tallest sister. Both look good

This Sunday, The Crown Prince's family receives Gråsten Ringriderforening's procession.

Always a loving event with the family greeting the many riders and horses.

Great, I'll look forward to that.
Usually the girls take center stage when the procession pass the CP-family. Not least Josephine, who doesn't mind the attention.
However, this year I wonder if Christian doesn't get quite a few bouquets.
Vincent who is already grandma-bait, will probably attract girls like flies next year.
It means that if the CP-family isn't already at Gråsten, they must be arriving Saturday or so.
They are in luck with the weather here. It's not too warm and not too cold either. Just perfect, some 22-25 degrees C. (71-77 F)
BB will cover the whole thing live: https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...t-ved-graasten
And from the article it's pretty clear that QMII will not be present, so full focus on the CP family.

QMII will be officially received when she arrives at Gråsten on Monday.
So that's confirmed, no QMII around on Sunday.
It also suggests to me that M&F are already at Gråsten and have been there for some time - at least a week I'd guess.
It will be interesting to see if they leave later Sunday or stay a few days with farmor Margrethe. - We may hope for an official photoshoot as well, but I think the chances for that are slim.
I'm pretty delighted actually, because us not knowing that M&F are at Gråsten means they have been left pretty much in peace by both the public and the press.
As you know we have often seen photos of the family going to or from a nearby riding school and similar stuff.
I hope they have enjoyed their stay in Gråsten, the weather as said previously has been good.

I actually enjoy their appearance at the parade being a kind of summer photo shoot. You get to actually see them doing something and IMO it is less awkward.

BB has a live coverage of the procession at Gråsten and it's about to start any moment:

Well, looks like BB can't deliver.
