 That seems likely.
Usually the CP-family stays for a day or two when QMII arrive, so I guess there will be a photo opportunity of some sort during those days.
It may not amount to more than taking pics of the family during the changing of the guards at noon on Fridays.
So don't have too high hopes in that regard.
However, as the weather will get better next week, I think there will almost certainly be a few snaps of the family going to or from the riding school close to Gråsten manor.
And perhaps M&F riding on a lane - this year perhaps with some of the children trailing behind.
I don't think we will see the twins ride, what I'm sure is, unfamiliar horses outside the riding school. But Perhaps Christian and Isabella are old enough and experienced enough to do so?

Thanks, Polyesco.
I see being a PET officer contains many challenges, even a ride on a roller-coaster.
It's good to see Christian had a friend around, and Isabella does indeed ride with the local riding club. As most of you will no doubt recall from last year, she has made several friends in that club.
And Josephine and Vincent did acquire their Lego drivers license, with a little guidance by dad.
In contrast to what many may think, it is actually possible to fail. If you ignore the red light, you fail.
But what delight me the most seeing these photos, is that the family was able to enjoy the day unnoticed.
BTW the hair-challenged man in blue with the ill fitting pants, belongs to Lego. I don't know if he is a member of the Kirk family, who owns Lego.
ADDED.
Being located in DK, Legoland in Billund, of course feature a number of Danish locals, including Amalienborg.
Guess which mansion belongs to M&F. Clue. Look at the colonnade and the direction of the statue.

https://bengeytenbeek.files.wordpres.../img_19961.jpg
They have even updated the guardsmen's rifles! In my childhood, they were using the Garand - also in Legoland. Today they use the Canadian variant of the M16 - now also in Legoland.
Mount Rushmore was around when I was a boy, and that is after all a few years ago!

Now they have added Sitting Bull:

Overlooking the Western Town and the Indianer village, which was also around when I was a boy.
As mentioned many times before, indianere, the Central European name for all natives of the Americas, have and have had a very good PR in Continental Europe for several generations.

Today, July 16, Queen Margrethe arrived at Sønderborg Harbour with the Royal Ship Dannebrog to take up residence at the summer residence Gråsten Palace:

I saw that the changing of guards is on every Friday. Maybe we'll see the CP Family with the Queen on Friday before they leave Gråsten?

Lovely photos of the CP family and Margrethe together. This gets me excited for the "proper" Grasten shoot!

I love those last two photos! Everyone looks so relaxed and happy, the perfect casual summer holiday photo.

Frederik, Mary and children have now been at Gråsten for almost three weeks. I think they will leave in a couple of days and spending the rest of their summer holiday other places. The recent years they have, after Gråsten, travelled abroad a week or two and in their last week of their holiday spend a private family cruise at Dannebrog. So I don’t think we shall expect a “proper” summer photo session at Gråsten. Now we have got summer photos of the family, and this year the Crown Prince couple won’t be there at the horse parade show which usually are there the media are invited to take the summer photos. I think we will get pictures and Mary will post during the family’s private summer cruise on Dannebrog (if they do this again this year)

I guess these photos actually mean there will be no "proper" Graasten photo shoot.

BB has hinted that there will be no photo-shoot involving the CP-family.
The "official" photo opportunity will be with QMII and Benedikte on Sunday, at the ring-rider procession. - But of course that is less glamorous without M&F and especially their children.

Much better to have the photo opportunity in connection with the reception of the ring riders parade. Whoever is attending. With the Crown Prince Couple spending several weeks at Gråsten, I don't see the point in having two sessions. There's also the photos from some of the Friday change of guards with music.
I've never cared that much for the "walk there-sit there-smile-look natural-like you are enjoying yourself". With the DRF on social media, it's much easier and you get more relaxed photos of the kids if their mother/father/someone they know takes a few photos and posts them online.

Looking like that and at this time of the year, they can easily vanish in the crowd in most places here in DK.
According to the article they were visited by friends from Australia, who came sailing in a boat.
It is now clear there will not be an official photo shoot this year.
https://www.bt.dk/kendte/dronningen-...tradition-igen
The tradition with the family gathering at Gråsten and posing for photographers, while looking as natural as possible, as Nordic so aptly observed, was started by Queen Ingrid.
And it has indeed been noticed that it is now the third year in a row without the DRF posing for the photographers at Gråsten.
BT has asked the royal expert Sebastion Olden-Jørgensen to comment. It is however my opinion that when it comes to speculations as to why the DRF do or don't do things, yours or my opinion is just as valid as any expert.
Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen think it's a pity that they have stopped these photo-ops, they were a nice summer tradition.
He adds that is is well-known (I think that's debatable) that the relationship between Frederik and Joachim has been a little strained lately. (*) And the two of them are also heading along different paths in life. Joachim with family is heading for France, while M&F takes an ever increasingly prominent and busy role here in DK.
- Okay, I think it's a pity there won't be an official photo-shoot of some with the CP-family. With all possible respect for my Monarch, it is undeniable that is M&F and their children who are the superstars in the DRF now. They are the ones people wish to see and follow. Accept it and act accordingly say I.
Fortunately M&F tends to keep us updated with their doings during their holiday. It will simply be a matter of keeping an eye on the social medias.
Now for Joachim and Frederik.
Yes, we have heard the story before about Joachim and Frederik having a strained relationship.
Both of them have denied it is true, even though Frederik was hurt that Joachim didn't confide in him, after the divorce from Alexandra. That is a quotable fact.
They grew up as pseudo-twins, but they were and are different personalities, with different roles in life, and different challenges and different scars.
One is very social, the other is very reserved.
One is physically very active, the other is more of a bookworm.
And so on.
How many of us remain close to our siblings once we become adults? How many of us confide our inner thoughts to our siblings, when we become adults?
People grow apart, not least when a spouse and children enter the equation. Priorities change.
I don't think Joachim and Frederik have fallen apart, they have grown apart. That does not mean that they can't stand the sight of each other or that they stop seeing each other.
They may indeed feel very comfortable and revert to the old brother-bonding when they are together. - In that respect I think they are very comparable to William and Harry, where there are similar rumors of the two falling apart.
Having said that, and if, repeat if, there really should be a strain between Frederik and Joachim, the very first thought that springs to my mind, is that Frederik is not that pleased with Joachim and our Marie more or less planning to settle in France. (One of my current pet-theories, you know. )
And that's enough speculation from me tonight. As I said, your opinion is just as valid as mine or the no doubt venerable expert Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen.

Thanks Muhler - IIRC we didn't get such a photoshoot last year either?

Last year it was the CP family receiving the horse-riders parade
https://www.hellomagazine.com/imagen...-holiday-z.jpg
2017 it was the Queen and the CP family
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/--aLmEuVkW...95/Grasten.jpg
This year it will be the Queen and Benedikte.
It was very nice the family photo with the Queen and the Queen with four of her grandkids.
Joachim has for years not spent time at Grasten in the summer with the Queen.
Frederik and Mary with family have enjoyed some weeks there, and are certainly not hiding as we have catch some glimpse of them. It's reasonable that they also want to spend some time abroad as a family taking in mind that early August Frederik will be regent while the Queen is on holiday, and thus can't travel.
a beautiful photo of the Dannebrog today

A BB video of the changing of the guards at noon today.
https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...kab-i-graasten
QMII went out on the stairs, alone.
Alexandra of Berleburg/Egeskov and her Count Michael were standing in the background.
So M&F must have left.
