Indeed.
And it was when the bagpipes played we saw Josephine rocking away.
It came out a bit disorganized this year IMO. Probably because this is the first time QMII and the CP-family is there at the same time and I also think the organizers behind the ring-riders were taken a little aback.
The bit where adult riders presented flowers to QMII and a couple to Mary as well, worked fine.
But then, understandably, it became messy.
There were at least a couple of occasions where one royal thought the flowers were for him/her but wasn't. And the riders were also a bit confused, who to present the flowers to with two or three royal hands out there?
I noticed at some point Isabella was the only one who did not get a bouquet. She was likely missed in the confusion.
And the boys were very much reduced to props. Christian don't care about flowers, but Vincent clearly appreciated getting a bouquet or two.
Also, this system will be even more confusing if Joachim's children are present as well. Imagine two very lively Princesses in the shape of Josephine and Athena all over the place!
So a little rethink is needed.
On the other hand the photos of all of them were much more natural, because all are doing something or focusing on something. - Instead of standing there thinking: What the holy cow are we going to do with ourselves for the next ten minutes?
---------
You may have noticed that a couple of the riders got a special warm greeting by Mary. They were apparently girls whom Josephine and Isabella had gotten to know well while riding at the local riding club.

So this was the photoshoot for this year? If so that's a pity because it seems to be attached to some kind of event.
I love seeing this family out and about, they could do so much better and more professional.
WA & Maxima have done the best shoot for this year so far, all other royals should take note how to do it!

It's a shame that the weather was so bad; since I would have loved to have seen the traditional photoshoot in the gardens. Still, these photos were wonderful and it was great to see the family again. Isabella has gotten so grown up! Vincent has changed a lot as well; he's a very sweet little boy.

What a shame about the weather and c! Grants to them for keeping it going. What a lovely, natural family. Mary could have worn a more practical outfit

What a delightful day, rain and all made it confusing yet it made it more natural for the family to relax and just enjoy each other and all the people that came out. What I liked is that there was no formality to this event, come as you are and enjoy the horses and people, give flowers to everyone and let the children play. Just be yourself today is the motto!
I so love that rain coat of Queen Daisy, just get rid of the pockets or make them the same color as the coat and that coat is mine, I have sneakers that would go with that coat very well.
This lady, Queen Daisy is such a happy woman for she looks like she is really enjoying the day, rain and all. The interaction between Queen Daisy and Mary shows that they have a loving relationship between them. I love rainy days for it makes the earth fresh and clean and everything becomes more green in the sun.
Thank you to everyone for all the pictures and videos for us to enjoy. That is one place I would so love to visit someday.

I admired the way everyone just carried on regardless of the rain which, at times, bucketed down. I don't think anyone smiled less or enjoyed themselves less because of the rain. And lovely to see Daisy's Holiday raincoat and matching hat. I really don't know what the holdup is . . . I wrote and told her it was mine years ago.
I also admire Daisy's acceptance of her limitations and someone trails behind with a folding chair and cushion. But it seems that her condition is progressing and will limit her more and more, but with scenes like that, it doesn't matter as it makes no difference.

A great TV2 article: New tones in Gråsten - is the Crown Prince Couple starting a tradition?
Nye toner i Gråsten - er kronprinsparret ved at starte en tradition? - TV 2
Chief editor of the Billedbladet, Annemette Krakau, believes that the Crown Prince couple are starting a new tradition.
- Last summer, the summer photo session lasted two minutes and took place on a windblown staircase. They came out and then they went back in. This year it lasted a more than a half an hour. I think it was great to see the Crown Prince family together with Queen Margrethe and as part of this festival in Gråsten, she says, and continues:
- I have a feeling that it is a new tradition they are starting. It is completely in line with Queen Ingrid and King Frederik at their time, who also made a big deal out of being in contact with the Southern Jutland's people, the traditions and being part of the cityscape.
The editorial editor hopes that in the future this will happen again. In this way where the royal family give them good time to be part of the local events.
- It's a super signal they send by being part of the People's Party, says Annemette Kraków.
ADDED:
I very much agree. This way is much better, funnier and more natural than those set photo session
