We haven't seen Queen Margrethe's flowery rain coat for some time, so maybe it has a comeback today?  I am really curious what solution they will come up with. It would be a great pity if they cancelled the photoshoot, since it has become really traditional.

 Just as well, so let it be the new one! May the rest of the family come it in functional outdoor gear. I think the family knows how to brave the weather.

Miraculously the weather actually become fine and the family went to the garden.

It is a pity that Joachim's family isn't there. Nor is Princess Benedikte. And Gustaf and Carina seem to have left Grasten already, they were seen at the changing of the guards last week. I know, it is difficult to bring together many people at a given date, there are always some who can't make it. But it spoils the effect a bit.

You have to hand it to Frederik and Mary. Their children are always turned out so nicely. They are dressed beautifully and always behave so nicely when the media is present. They seem so comfortable in their own skins.

I family foto shoot should have the whole family with their children.
Joachim and his family did not attend.
Uncomplete family , husband in Venise instead of attending his wife 75 th birthday.
Something is going wrong the the Kingdom of Denmark...

 IIRC Ingrid is from 2003, there's quite an age difference but I'm sure they have lots of fun regardless – some summers ago, Christian had lots of fun with Richard and the age difference between them is even larger.
Such lovely pictures from today. I'm so happy they braved the rain, I had feared they might have had to cancel because of the poor weather. I love Bella and Josephine's hairstyles. I don't know if it's just me but I think Christian and Ingrid's alikeness is striking – if I didn't know better I'd say they were siblings. This picture of QMII and Christian is precious. And I love the pictures of Mary and Frederik together 
A shame Joachim, Marie and the children couldn't make it – I wonder why, I mean, this is a scheduled photo opportunity after all. It's also a shame that Benedikte couldn't be there but I'm thrilled to see that Alexandra and her family were there regardless.

Loved the pictures and especially the ones with ball-throwing for the dogs. Dogs don't know they are royals and just want to play ball! I was also just wondering if they might have color-coordinated their clothing around Josephine's cast. Lots of blue! ��
