Last evening Henrik read his poems in Gråsten Palace Chapel. The rest of the adult DRF members were present.

Alas, bette Henrik and Athena were not there, but Nikolai and Felix were and they competed with farbror (paternal uncle) Frederik - and won!

thank you.
always look forward to their trip to legoland. Its nice that Nikolai and Felix joined them. Sad that little Henrik didnt go, he is just at the right age

I really like how relaxed the royal family are on these vacations. I also love that they take these pictures.

Thanks for sharing the photo of Mary and Josephine at Lego Land. Hopefully we'll get more photos soon, it will be cute to see photos of the children having fun together. I wonder if Count Richard and Countess Ingrid go to Lego Land too, I'm not sure if they did last year or the year before that, but I was looking through the earlier pages of this thread and saw photos where they did attend. But then again that was about 5 years ago. Little Henrik and Athena's absence surprises me, given that Nikolai and Felix went.

Yes, perhaps they quietly decided it was M&F's turn to do the family-summer-outing thing?

A nice little gallery of the changing of the guards, the Regent Couple were also out to look and show their respect.
Quite a number of locals and tourists had shown up. Not least because the guardsmen in the platoon going to Gråsten are mainly local boys.
You will notice that the guards in the ceremony wear bearskin caps, while the guards on duty wear the tent hats. Partly to avoid heatstrokes but also to maintain their vigilance during their two hours on sentry duty.
Yeah, few children would want to miss that chance!
However, I think bette Henrik and Athena are not unfamilliar with Legoland, the Lego family are after all close to Joachim.

Are there any more photos from the children's visit to Lego Land? I've checked Rex Features and Billed Bladet but my search wasn't successful. It's been a day now, so I find it strange that none have been uploaded apart from the one of Mary and Josephine.

Pictures from Legoland this year
search "legoland"
we can see Frederik, Mary and Alexandra, with all 4 kids plus Ingrid and Richard. and Felix and Nikolai.
love that they went along with them this year
Newscom - Multimedia for Websites and Publishers
we can see that the big kids got on the big rides
Rex Features - Leading photographic press agency and picture library
The legoland theme park has a lot of the similar rides, (the green frog one that goes up and down, the fast ones and the canoe/log one)
instead of Native Americans/first nations, we have a Knight/princess/dragon theme plus a pirate theme near the water splashing area
Before the DRF summer photoshoot and the legoland trip, Frederik and Mary were seen riding their horses

Thanks Polyesco.
Looks like Josephine was most displeased at something around the fireengines. I guess we'll learn why tomorrow.
I guess wild west themes are not as exotic in USA as they are here in Europe, hence the abscense.
Thanks for the link, gerry.

Thanks, Polyesco.
I noticed in the comments section of the DM article someone asking about security.
It's there alright. I noticed a female PET officer following Mary around. The officer looks like she does 500 push-ups each morning - as a warm-up...
