I wouldn't be surprised if they were angry with certain members of the press, but I don't think that the story or rather rubbish is that widespread for them "punish" the press with their absence.
Frederik and Mary were in the country just recently and IIRC they've never missed a Graasten gathering. There probably is a real legitimate reason why they are missing from the photoshoot.

According to a member (who got his/her info via tv2 news) on the CPMB, The cp couple got stuck in traffic since it was the last weekend of the industry holiday.

GOD!!!!!The two sons weren't there and they are every year!!! This too bad!!!!To me s a great disrespect for everyone, they should have said something!!!

Frederik and Mary got stock in trafic. One hardly can help that. I got stock in the same kind og trafic last weekend - and I know precisely where they got stock.
It is at the same spot on the same freeway in Jutland every time..... and it is incredeble irritating - espacially if you are the one who is stuck and you have an appointment.

really disappointing the heir and his family and the second son and family weren't in the photoshoot. it's true that frederik and mary have given us some lovely shots this year around christmas time and that joachim and marie did a lovely photoshoot in caix not long ago, but the photoshoot in grasten is so traditional (and only done once a year, together with the cristmas one) that i truly believe they should make up for it.
however, i think they will do it. the DRF are generally quite considerate with these sort of things. frederik and mary were stuck in the traffic, what happened to joachim and marie?

Do they need an excuse?
Actually Joachim hasn't been in Graasten - or at least hasn't attended the annual family photo shoots there - in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 (don't remember the years before). The only time he was there during the last 5 years was in 2006, when the family gathering was really large, including members of the Greek RF. So, obviously it's not a tradition for Joachim to be there, with or without Marie (I guess you meant Marie, not Mary?).
It would have been nice to see them though.

Traffic Jam!!!!! God, that was not a justification!! Who told that they were stuck in the traffic???? The Queen told that to the photographers?? Also they knew that there was going to be a photoshoot so maybe arriving one day before was the best to do!!!! Sorry guys I love Mary and Frederick but this time they had no excuse, they were very very rude to everyone with no excuse at all, they had no consideration for anyone!!!

I'm sorry, but how is it rude. I believe that we've had quite alot of photos of Mary, Frederik and their family already this summer. It's not rude and they don't have to have an excuse. It's not a right of anyone to have these photos, it is a nicety that the Royal Family provides to the general public, and if one year the family of Frederik and Mary are not there, then what is the big deal?
As I said, there's been hapes of photos of them recently.

Sure, it would have been nice if the CP Family had been able to make it, but it's not the end of the world. We've had lots of photos this year to enjoy. I'd rather see them miss the event than use police escorts to help them by-pass the traffic in order to attend the photoshoot.

I can't understand why people are so angry and disappointed?! Frederick and Mary have been in Grasten every summer and we got have so many private (?) photos of them and I think that it's normal when they don't wanna be in photoshoot. They are normal people like others and because they are royal they don't have do be in every photoshoot. But I'm sure that at the end of summer we get to see lot of beautiful photos of them . So let's wait!

Whoops! Easy to mix up the two names as they are so similar -
I guess the big brouhaha comes from the disappointment at not seeing the interaction between QM and Henrik and Christian and Isabella. It's always fun to see the different generations all together with the little ones.
