Light blue is the color of the Danish sash. If you'll notice in the group pictures at at Joachim and Alexandra's wedding all the foreign guests wear the light blue sashes since they are at the Danish wedding. The other countries have their own color of sashes. I believe Belgium has purple, Netherlands has blue/gold, etc. Now, if I am correct it is the kings/queens that wear the specific sash of a particular country when they are at that particular country's royal wedding. The lesser royals just wear the sash of their own country.
Princess Alexandra is really beautiful. I just can't stop but adore her for she is nice at the same time very intelligent. I would have wished she was the Crown Princess but even in her position she is still like a Crown Princess. And in my own opinion, she doesn't need to be a CP just to show how sincere she is for many already love her for who she is. But how I wish she was the one Fred married. But...Joachim and Alex is a perfect pair. :)

I first read some reports about Princess Alexandra in newpaper in 1995 ,which said that Joachim met Alexandra at a Chinese party in Hongkong .But in China I haven't find any reports about Alexandra before her engagement. :P

Thanx for the links. I never seen any of these pictures before. I found out about her after she had her two sons, it is kind of weird seeing pictures of her before she became a mother.I did'nt know that Alex went back to work after the anncouncement, I figured she did though. It is a good thing she came into her own style, because it looks like she was wearing the queen's clothes.

too bad the Danish throne goes to the first born of the monarch...not to the one who can do the job better.....it'd be lovely to see them being cps....

The occasion was a Hubertus hunt in Dyrhaven north of Copenhagen. This year Joachim attended as well along with Nikolai and Felix - we have seen the pics on this board.
