Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, Current Events Part 1: September 2015 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.

Alexandra is going to bring in her 87 year old mother, Christa Manly, to DK from Austria.
Here she will stay for a month or so.
The purpose is to avoid her mother being and feeling(?) isolated in Vienna.

- I don't know to what degree Austria is in lockdown, if any. But here in DK elderly who live at home are free to move around as they please, even though they are urged to take precautions and exercise caution.

No lockdown in Vienna at the moment but many restrictions.

BT has a few more details about the interview:
https://www.bt.dk/royale/grevinde-a...aar-man-er-alene-nytter-det-ikke-noget-at-gaa

She has pretty accepted the life as a single. A man is "nice to have" but not a "need to have."
She would like to experience falling in love again, but a man isn't a must.

Unless there are mice in the house.
She had mice recently and admits that if she had a man around, he would have left that problem to him. Instead she had to go purchase traps and set them up. Didn't catch anything though, so she got a professional.
She learned from an early age that she must be able to look after herself.

She has found it easier than feared to cope with Nikolai moving away from home.

https://www.bt.dk/royale/alexandra-afsloerer-jeg-har-opdraget-mine-soenner-til-at-vaere-gentlemen

She has brought up her sons to respect and appreciate women, but also to be gentlemen. At least when on a date. I.e pulling out the chair and so on. She really loves that herself.

Nikolai is still going steady with Benedikte Thoustrup and Alexandra has from time to time been visited by Nikolai and Benedikte.

https://www.bt.dk/kendte/grevinde-alexandra-pludselig-kom-fornemmelsen-hun-blev-forfulgt

While working in Hong Kong she was hit on by a male superior and also harassed. She turned him down and it had no repercussions for her.

"An experience that was worse for me, was when I was being followed by two men, when I was very young. I was 14-15 and on the way home with public transport. There was perhaps about 300 meters to my home, when I got off and then I could sense that there were two men who followed me. I ran as fast as I could and I almost don't dare think what could have happened if my home had been further away. I'm in no doubt that I ran for my life.."

Alexandra has got a seat on the board of Unumed. A company that deliver IT-equipment to hospitals in Asia and Africa.
https://www.seoghoer.dk/kongelige/alex-scorer-nyt-job
That has been confirmed by Alexandra's secretary.

She has a place on another board, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, which she has had since 2007.

Apart from that she works part time as Director of Client Programmes at Bang & Olufsen.

She hopes to do quite a bit of traveling in connection with her jobs next year.

https://www.seoghoer.dk/kongelige/grevinde-alexandra-flytter

Alexandra has put her house up for sale.
That has been confirmed.

Her house was bought for 9.995.000 DKK three years ago.
She has put her house up for sale for 14.995.000 DKK. So she will earn an handsome profit, if she sells for the full price.

Instead she intends to buy an apartment in downtown Copenhagen. Because Felix will finish high school this summer and presumably to move out soon, so she won't need that much room anymore.

You can see the details about her house here:

I suggest you click "billeder" = photos.

BTW: try click the arrow pointing left in the upper left corner to see what other houses this estate agent has for sale.

Thank you for posting; a very beautiful property indeed! How is the housing market in Denmark...will she get the price she is asking?

The prices, despite Corona, are back to pre-financial crisis level - and activity.

I'll guess that she will be able to sell at or near the price she has set, with a little patience.

At 240 square meters, it's a big house, but not extraordinary big. Some 80-100 Square meters larger than an average family house in DK.
And looking at the floor plan, where is the WC only for guests?
The location (Charlottenlund, a posh part of Copenhagen) is at least half the price IMO.

In the part of DK where we live. I.e. rural but 20 minutes from a major town and 30-45 min to a city, 15 million DKK will buy us a manor house.

This is on another topic.

It's a Chinese docu covering Alexandra as a person, her life and her children.
It lasts some 45 minutes, with English subtitles.
You can watch it in this article: https://www.bt.dk/royale/alexandra-med-roerende-ros-af-prins-felix-man-skal-have-ham-paa-holdet

I can't remember off hand whether this has been shown before. But no time for check gotta go.

It was, early 2019.
I still remember the awkward pause when Felix is asked who watches over him when Alexandra is out of the country. He did not say Joachim, who was still living in Denmark at this time.

Here is a link to a recent documentary/interview on Alexandra, given to a Chinese tv show. It also interviews Nikolai and Felix
https://v.qq.com/x/cover/693q66mmjbi...029htn7z0.html

a little awkward moment at minute 28:26...Felix lets it slip that she is usually in Switzerland..and then awkward silence when the host ask who watches him :D?

Don't know.

Alexandra does hold a seat on the board in a major Swiss pharmaceutical company - but how often does she need to go to Switzerland for that?
When Martin Jørgensen was around, it wasn't a problem, since he would look after Felix, but even though a teenager like Felix can easily figure out how to get up and go to school and feed himself, I wouldn't leave a teenager home alone unless it was really necessary.
So who looks after Felix and why hesitate that much about telling so?

The most natural reply would be that he stays with his father, wouldn't it?
And what would be wrong in that?

If Alexandra is away often, who is looking after Felix?
A friend of Alexandra?
Hardly Martin Jørgensen! But his parents, with whom certainly Felix seems to have a good relationship?

It doesn't make sense to me and I find it pretty odd.

Muhler-I was surprised that there was no "powder room" or guest toilet for this house. Looks like the guests have to use the bathroom that her sons use.:D Which could be quite an adventure for her guests if they're not used to teens/young adults. ?

Contemporary home with what appears to be a beautiful garden.

Indeed. ;)
For 15 million I want a place where my guests can "wash their hands" preferably two.

Location is an odd thing!
Around where we live such a house (without a toilet for the guests...) would cost 5 million, max. And be in top condition. And have a 24/7 hot-tub for the passing songbirds!
Where my in-laws live it would cost 3 million, tops. But okay, that's out where the pigs wear number plates.
It's probably the Jutlander in me speaking (we have a near and dear relationship with our money) but DK isn't bigger than you can easily get around by car within a reasonable time, so why you'd buy such an expensive house is beyond me.

And I bet the apartment she is going to buy in downtown Copenhagen will cost her at least 10 million, despite being smaller. Normal, reasonably well paid middle-class couples, with steady jobs and a guaranteed steady income for life can hardly afford anything but one bedroom apartments in central Copenhagen.

Thanks, Polyesco. :flowers:

So that's the one.
BB, that also writes about this story, mention that Alexandra spend a good deal of time visiting her mother around that time.

The house is quite small 240 square meters is about 2583 square feet. My own home is larger than that.
I'm wondering if she is doing it for financial reasons.

Sure Felix will move out soon but he and Nikolai I presume will be visiting with girlfriends. Not to mention her siblings and elderly parents need a room for when they visit.

Perhaps it's an investment?

Is Alexandra allowed to be political given she is no longer a member of the DRF? I didn't know when she was receiving her Appanage people may have seen it inappropriate, for her to speak publicly about politics and also the fact that her public profile is down to her being married to a royal and she is the mother of two Danish Princes and is a Countess, whether these things might make people think it would be unwise of her to discuss politics publicly?

Alexandra has bought a new home.

A 168 square meter Copenhagen city flat for 12 million DKK. (Rough calculations: 6 DKK = 1 $, 7.5 DKK = 1 €, 8 DKK = 1 £)
I Klerkegade to be exact. An expensive apartment building. Here she will live in the ground floor (or first floor I believe it's called in US.)

It's not a small apartment, considering the price. In fact the size of the apartment is equivalent to a family house in the upper average size range in DK.
She is also very much paying for the location.
It's a four room apartment from 1867. It has been up for sale for one month.

Here is a photo of the building: https://bt.bmcdn.dk/media/cache/resolve/image_1240/image/162/1621377/23673360-jdo2pfjpo3.jpg

Here is another apartment for same in the same building, so you can have a closer look at how it is.

This apartment is above Alexandra's, but to the other side.
(Try click on "se flere billeder" in the blue circle in the center.)
Floorplan: https://www.estate.dk/ejerlejlighed/1308/klerkegade/270210/ec263

She has not yet sold her house: https://bt.bmcdn.dk/media/cache/resolve/image_1240/image/162/1621352/23673317-foewhoq.jpg
But if she sells it at full price she will earn a profit of some five million DKK.

Here is a BT article about the homes she has owned since the divorce from Joachim. She has scored a solid profit from the sale of most of the houses she has owned.
It's getting a little too late in the evening for me to go into further details though.

BT has more.
Nikolai Peitersen is an entrepreneur with investments in Hong Kong, where he has spend a good deal of time. He has now moved his office back to Copenhagen due to the increasing tension between China and USA. That made the placement of his office in Hong Kong too political, he said in an interview to the serious, conservative and business oriented newspaper, Berlingske:
https://www.berlingske.dk/virksomhe...rksomhed-flytter-fra-hongkong-til-koebenhavn#
Specifically, it's the political unrest in Hong Kong that has led to this move.

Anyway, Alexandra has invested in Peitersen's business - presumably that's how they got to know each other.

Nikolai Peitersen is 51, Alexandra 56.

- Well, let's hope she's lucky this time. Her two past romances were less than fortunate. And the marriage to Joachim... At least they are on very good terms privately.

Well he seems better on paper at least and after her ex with the criminal background that she didn't know about, hopefully she's been more careful about things this time. I wish her well.

Martin Jorgensen had criminal backgrounds??

https://www.bt.dk/royale/nu-taler-g...este-om-forholdet-vi-er-meget-meget-glade-for
Nikolai Peitersen has been talking to BT about his relationship with Alexandra.
He is married, but has been separated from his wife for three years.
The reason is that she wish to remain in China with their chidlren, while he moves back to DK.
In order to get the residence permit for her, they had to remain formally married until now.
They expect to be full divorced in a month or two.
Nikolai Peitersen's wife has met Alexandra and approves of the relationship.

Nikolai Peitersen has a brother, Alexander Peitersen, who has been a personal friend of Alexandra for many years.

He expects to return to DK during the summer.

Nikolai Peitersen says:
"We are very, very fond of each other and even thought it's on an early stage, we hope for a long future together. It's a joyous event and all are happy.
I would like to put to rest any rumor about there being any scandal or any drama. I have been separated from my ex-wife for three years, a formal agreement between up regarding our separation has been made. We have not lived together during those three years and it is only due to Chinese rules regarding visa."

It has been confirmed that Countess Alexandra has recently had a facelift:
https://www.bt.dk/det-vi-taler-om/grevinde-alexandra-bryder-tabu-hun-overrasker-hele-tiden

It was noticed during Felix' graduation that Alexandra had what looked like fresh scars in her face after what appeared to be a face lift.
Her secretary/PR-associate Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen says to the tabloid BT that: "The Countess feel that the exterior should match the interior. There are many modern women who gets facelifts and recently the Countess got, what you call a mini-facelift.

BB has more: https://www.billedbladet.dk/kendte/...inde-alexandra-under-kniven-helt-nyt-udseende

Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen said to BB that:
"Yes, I can confirm that. Countess Alexandra freely admits/acknowledge that she has had a surgical procedure.
Not only because it's obvious but also because the Countess feels that modern women should stand by their choices and not be embarrassed over the fact that they get professional help. It has over time become a natural thing to have done and it's a minority who can say that they haven't had something done.
That is something Countess Alexandra freely admits she has. Eve though it's a private matter Alexandra thinks you should be open and honest for example having cosmetic surgery and do it, if you yourself think something needs to be changed."

Only a week prior to the graduation Alexandra had her eyes fixed and had a small facelift that makes the lower face and neck look better.

Q: But why? She's beautiful as is.
"Yes, but I can only say that Countess Alexandra has felt that her exterior should match her interior. It's after all a personal feeling and completely natural wish."

- Well, while cosmetic surgery has certainly become much more common in DK, I'm far from certain that it is something the majority undergo.
In the segment Alexandra may mingle, but not among the general public as a whole.
Apart from that I really don't care. Her money, her face.
I don't think she needed a facelift though. She looked perfectly well for a women her age IMO.
But if she's happy, I'm happy.

Is this true of wishful thinking by the countess?

Edit: I see you already answered that question; this statement seems to mainly reflect her (skewed) social circle and shows her limited knowledge of the general population.

Q: But why? She's beautiful as is.
"Yes, but I can only say that Countess Alexandra has felt that her exterior should match her interior. It's after all a personal feeling and completely natural wish."
Not sure what is 'natural' about this wish. While she is free to go ahead, it seems rather unnatural and superficial to me. Nonetheless, I am not surprised as it seems that since the divorce she has constantly tried to look younger than her age.

Alex looked very nice at the graduation and that, ultimately, is the point of getting cosmetic work done. If she wants to disclose and as she says, take some of the hypocrisy down, that's good too.

The only problem is when you start getting cosmetic procedures and you end up forever trying to "improve" yourself and/or not looking so good in the end. :ermm:

"Yes, but I can only say that Countess Alexandra has felt that her exterior should match her interior. It's after all a personal feeling and completely natural wish."

The exterior should match the interior. What, manipulated? Enhanced beyond it's natural state? A untrue reflection of herself? Wow! What a stupid stupid thing to say.

IMO it gives her a strange face, but if she feels like it, she should do it, it is her life !
