She is beautiful and highly intelligent. But unlucky in love....is an understatement.

Hmm, anything that is related to making money by providing information about 'herself' is automatically making money because of her royal connection - because without her marriage to Joachim nobody would be interested in a portrait of 'the person' Alexandra - but let's hope that she is indeed doing so with a respectful distance to the DRF.
That's a reality she can not escape. Any one who was married to a public royal is not going to be able to escape that. There is always going to be some influence over job or income sources if it is gained by her royal status. No matter what career they follow post divorce plain and simple.

Now if she starts selling tell all books about the royal family, that is another matter. As long she is not actually using stories and information of the royals to get pay checques I see no issue.

Alexandra didn't have to give up the money. She voluntarily chose to give it up. She could have at the very least kept it until her sons were done school, and not simply 18.

I don't see why someone with a title would be any better for her in love, then anyone else.

Having a 'noble title' doesn't make one any more honest or respectable. Or even mean they have their own money and wouldn't take advantage of people. There are plenty of aristocrats, and royals, who have come up in major financial and legal trouble over the years.

I understand she cannot escape the reality that she is a former princess of Denmark but to me there is quite a difference between earning money by showcasing yourself (as she apparently intends to do) and landing a certain job -partly thanks to your connections- and working hard in excelling in that specific job.

Do you remember Alexandra's ex, Martin Jørgensen?
https://www.tvguide.dk/nyheder/2020/...aerdige-som-pa

He has been out and about since the divorce.

First dating an Eva Harlou.

Then dating a Gunnvør Dalsgaard, but that lasted only six months.

- Well, as you may recall Martin Jørgensen was left with pretty much nothing but his shirt and shoes - and he was mighty fond of partying and the jetset life style.
I have noticed his two latest partners belong to the celebrity segment, who is fond of partying and have money to spend and don't mind spending them.

I can't help feeling that both these two... eh... women became fed up with paying for Martin Jørgensen having a merry life.

He could of course try and get a job, but I guess it interferes with his social life...

I'm pretty sure his unwillingness to get a proper job is also rooted in the fact that every excess penny he makes will go to Alexandra as per the promissory note that was written at the time of their divorce.

Now that is a strong disincentive to ever earn anything!

Well, he isn't the only one in that situation.

But if he worked and cut down on his expenses, no exotic holidays, no weekly outings to nightclubs. Got himself a bicycle and bought some cheaper clothes and paid what he could for five years, he would be in a much better situation, where he could negotiate a deal reducing his debt.

Because as is, Alexandra is unlikely to see anything.
With this she would at least get some money back, and Martin Jørgensen would have learned a little humility simply by getting up in the morning and go to work - like the rest of us.
- And who knows? Perhaps he would be happier?

Otherwise, where is he to go from here? He is getting older. He has no money. His value on the meat-market and as a "funny companion" will diminish with each year. - And with no work and no official income he will soon have very few legal options available.

He seems relatively morally corrupt so I somehow doubt that would happen even though it would be the best solution for everyone involved.

He was too busy funnelling several millions from her account to his own to think of the consequences of his actions when Alexandra inevitably would find out, I suppose.

I fear you are right, alas.

Martin Jørgensen has gotten too accustomed to the nightclubs for him to change.

Wonder what will happen to him?

Unless he meets someone special or has another life-changing experience, I can honestly only see a deroute ahead of him. - And there are lots of sharks out there more than willing to take advantage of him.

I wonder if he would be tempted to do a "tell all"
That could be ugly for Alexandra! As he will have little incentive to spare her.

And now for something completely different.

Alexandra has today started in a part time job at Bang & Olufusen, where she will work in marketing and sale.
https://www.bt.dk/royale/grevinde-al...a-faar-nyt-job

She will among other things work with identifying new customer groups.
She will be working at their office in Lyngby, that is a part of the greater Copenhagen area.

- That's interesting! Not least because B&O is in trouble financially.

Alexandra is going to bring in her 87 year old mother, Christa Manly, to DK from Austria.
Here she will stay for a month or so.
The purpose is to avoid her mother being and feeling(?) isolated in Vienna.

- I don't know to what degree Austria is in lockdown, if any. But here in DK elderly who live at home are free to move around as they please, even though they are urged to take precautions and exercise caution.

No lockdown in Vienna at the moment but many restrictions.

BT has a few more details about the interview:
https://www.bt.dk/royale/grevinde-al...e-noget-at-gaa

She has pretty accepted the life as a single. A man is "nice to have" but not a "need to have."
She would like to experience falling in love again, but a man isn't a must.

Unless there are mice in the house.
She had mice recently and admits that if she had a man around, he would have left that problem to him. Instead she had to go purchase traps and set them up. Didn't catch anything though, so she got a professional.
She learned from an early age that she must be able to look after herself.

She has found it easier than feared to cope with Nikolai moving away from home.

https://www.bt.dk/royale/alexandra-a...aere-gentlemen

She has brought up her sons to respect and appreciate women, but also to be gentlemen. At least when on a date. I.e pulling out the chair and so on. She really loves that herself.

Nikolai is still going steady with Benedikte Thoustrup and Alexandra has from time to time been visited by Nikolai and Benedikte.

https://www.bt.dk/kendte/grevinde-al...-blev-forfulgt

While working in Hong Kong she was hit on by a male superior and also harassed. She turned him down and it had no repercussions for her.

"An experience that was worse for me, was when I was being followed by two men, when I was very young. I was 14-15 and on the way home with public transport. There was perhaps about 300 meters to my home, when I got off and then I could sense that there were two men who followed me. I ran as fast as I could and I almost don't dare think what could have happened if my home had been further away. I'm in no doubt that I ran for my life.."

Alexandra has got a seat on the board of Unumed. A company that deliver IT-equipment to hospitals in Asia and Africa.
https://www.seoghoer.dk/kongelige/alex-scorer-nyt-job
That has been confirmed by Alexandra's secretary.

She has a place on another board, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, which she has had since 2007.

Apart from that she works part time as Director of Client Programmes at Bang & Olufsen.

She hopes to do quite a bit of traveling in connection with her jobs next year.

Alexandra has put her house up for sale.
That has been confirmed.

Her house was bought for 9.995.000 DKK three years ago.
She has put her house up for sale for 14.995.000 DKK. So she will earn an handsome profit, if she sells for the full price.

Instead she intends to buy an apartment in downtown Copenhagen. Because Felix will finish high school this summer and presumably to move out soon, so she won't need that much room anymore.

You can see the details about her house here:

I suggest you click "billeder" = photos.

BTW: try click the arrow pointing left in the upper left corner to see what other houses this estate agent has for sale.

The prices, despite Corona, are back to pre-financial crisis level - and activity.

I'll guess that she will be able to sell at or near the price she has set, with a little patience.

At 240 square meters, it's a big house, but not extraordinary big. Some 80-100 Square meters larger than an average family house in DK.
And looking at the floor plan, where is the WC only for guests?
The location (Charlottenlund, a posh part of Copenhagen) is at least half the price IMO.

In the part of DK where we live. I.e. rural but 20 minutes from a major town and 30-45 min to a city, 15 million DKK will buy us a manor house.
