May she rest in peace. The Belgian royal family was very attached to her.
12/01/05 - King Albert has met Rik Vannieuwenhuyse, the West-Flemish businessman from Roeselare who has been threatened in connection with a foreign worker in his employ.

During the past months Vannieuwenhuyse has been threatened in connection with one of his workers who wears a headscarf. Letters claiming to come from New Free Flanders, an unknown organisation, have been sent to a national newspaper. Mr Vannieuwenhuyse, who runs a food company called Remmery, and his family have also been threatened. He said he was very pleased after his meeting with the monarch.
The latest letter calls on the businessman to sack Naima Amzil, the moslim worker at the centre of the controversy.
Some time ago she decided no longer to wear her headscarf to work because she was worried the safety of her boss and his family were threatened.
The local business organisation in West-Flanders received the support of 22,000 people after it opened a special webpage on the internet.
