Van de Velde was one of the main representatives of Art Nouveau in Belgium.

Yesterday, March 9, Queen Mathilde received a delegation of children from Karrewiet (Ketnet), the Belgian child and youth TV station. The children handed out the trophy "Karrewiet - Moment of the year" for "Prince Philippe becomes King" that had been one of four nominees.
