I think that Princess Astrid like Infanta Cristina of Spain has managed to find a good balance between her family life and her royal duties.

Both of them have beautiful children who seem very polite and well educated and at ease with paparazzi following them everywhere they go.

Let's hope that princess Maria Laura will be allowed to lead the life of a normal young woman, she'll very soon be in age of going out with friends of her own.

Thankfully there isn't a lot of paparazzi fuss in Belgium. Astrid's children can go where they like without being bothered. Let's hope it stays that way.

I hadn't seen those photos before. Thanks for posting them. It seems as if Astrid's appearance has changed in the last few years. It's not that she was unattractive before, but she just looks really wonderful in recent photos.

I didnt see it, so didn't buy it, a pitty.

I wonder if we'll get to see more of this in the furure. It's tasteful and informative so why not ?

Astrid looks fabulous! My only criticism is the oversized hat. Well, it's not oversized, but it just seems as if you can't see her eyes properly, but then again, it could just be the angle. Astrid just seems to look better and better with age.

I just read on the GRMB that Maria Laura was on a school bus that was involved in an accident today. Apparently there were only minor injuries to students on the bus -- does anyone have more information on this?
