Todat I saw in the magazine " Story" photos of Filip , Mathilde skiing with Elisabeth and Gabriel , they were so cute !
I'm sorry I can't scan the pictures , but maybe someone else has them ?

Today I found pictures of the family skiing... For the second year Elisabeth had skiing lessons. The family went to Verbier in Switzerland, their usual skiing holiday resort.
Emmanuel was of course too small to be on the slopes.
These are from Point de Vue: Philippe & Mathilde with Elisabeth, and Philippe taking pictures of Elisabeth's skiing lessons.

Yeah, Catherine! I have been waiting to see these. Philippe looks like such a proud papa with his videotaping everything! Who is it that Mathilde is holding? Is that Elisabeth? And then is Gabriel using the tow rope? Thanks so much for posting these!

Mathilde's holding Elisabeth and the very last photo (from Story) that's Mathilde with Gabriel. I don't know who the other boy is. Philippe & Mathilde often go on holiday with other couples who have children, so maby it's the son of friends, or a friend of Elisabeth from the skiclass?

Catherine -- do you know much about the Belgian family and skiing? Are Philippe, Mathilde, Astrid, Lorenz, etc. all avid skiers?

I know that Philippe is an excellent skiier. He went skiing every year since he was 3 or so. Also in his training to become a pilote, the students had to ski (something to do with balance apparently).
Mathilde has always been quite sportive, so I guess she already knew how to ski before she became married.
For the rest I know king Baudouin was a great skier, like his grandfather king Albert I and his grandmother queen Elisabeth. I also saw photos of that couple ice scating together.
King Leopold III and his wife queen Astrid were also very fond of the sport.
I've never seen photos of Laurent or Astrid & Lorenz skiing (but they're a very private couple, and the media leaves them in peace).

Aaaaawwwww - what sweet and beautiful pictures.:) Thank you very much for posting these wonderful pictures Cathérine.:) The children look absolutely adorable with their little sunglasses on.
