Caroline, Alexandra, and Tatiana and and Vera, Tatiana's mother! Tatiana doesn't look like herself in another similar picture, where they are also walking in the street, but here it looks like it is her. What does everyone think?
My favorite one from the new batch is Pierre "playing" paddle tennis. But he looks to be playing alone?! 
Yeah, where is Bea? Celebrating with her parents, siblings and the Elkanns, no doubt. Maybe she will fly in and join them in Rio in a few days,for the new year. And of course they will all be back in europe for the ski season.

No, they don't. Or at least not always. I've never seen Charlotte in my life (which is curious since I ride in the same circuit she used to ride years ago!), but I lived for a couple of years in the 7th arrondissement and I'm pretty sure Andrea didn't live far from my house since I crossed 2 times in the street (I think it was the period when he was dating that german girl). Both times he was on his own and there was no bodyguard in sight. Also, a friend of mine who is a independent french director worked in one of his movies with maria jurado (actually they didn't want her but the actresses they had in mind were too expensive and her they could pay!) in one of his movies and knew him. I remember asking him tons of questions about him (questions he couldn't answer since he wasn't interested in the least in him!) but I know that at least once they went out for a drink after shooting and they went to popular gay bars in Le Marais neighbourghood and andrea was just one of them, a totally normal guy without bodyguards or anything like that.
We've also have seen him more than once on tv and pics shouting to the paparazzi, having trouble with them or even beating them once in rome, and for sure he was alone. If he had had a bodyguard with him he would have helped.
On the other hand, my job took me during a year quite frequently to que côte d'azur and I have 3 or 4 sightings of members of the monegasque family (I call them sightings because while with andrea I crossed him really near in the street, these other people I just saw from far away). No Casiraghis, though. I think it was once Caroline, once Caroline, Ernst and Alex, and once Alex with some woman, and I remember at least in one of these occassions they did have bodyguards.
So, my guess is that they have bodyguards ocasionally, when they travel to dangerous places for rich people, like rio, or to public events, or places where they are moree conspicous they have bodyguards. But for they're everyday lives they don't. It's very rare to see a bodyguard with the casiraghis outside brazil or public events.
And the man in saint-tropez. I don't think he was a body-guard. To me, it looked like the driver (althought of course many important people have drivers who are also trained as bodyguards)

Wait. Rewind....he's GAY? Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I dont know any straight men who who go to gay bars to hang out.

You don't? Well, maybe it's a cultural thing, in europe it's not weird at all (at least, not in my two home towns, madrid and paris), or maybe it's just the milieu I move in. But the gay neighbourhoods are usually very lively with plenty of nice bars, shops, artistic places... You don't need to be gay to enjoy them.I often go to gay places with straigh male friends (my husband among them) and nobody thinks twice about it.
And I never said Andrea was gay! My friend is gay, he lives in the 3rd, and from what I remember (it was a long time ago I interrogated him about andrea) they were quite a big group of people, maria jurado among them.

I know some guys, in the US, who go to gay clubs. Usually the gay clubs are the best clubs. They go in big groups of girls and guys, some gay, some not.
Well, on the topic of bodyguards, I have to agree with Trep that they use bodyguards on occasion for public events (i.e. we saw @ the gucci Masters, GCT Estoril, GCT Rio). Also, sometimes you see a bodyguard or two with the Casiraghis at Nice Airport for some reason. I don't know why @ Nice Airport. Maybe they just generally have a bodyguard for international travel.

I think Charlotte and her bodyguard went to this store: Home - Havaianas Site Oficial
They sell flipflops. I guess the complimentary ones at the hotel weren't to her liking. haha
The hotel they entered is Hotel Fasano @ Ipanema beach. This is where they always stay in Rio. They have a fabulous swimming pool on the roof. And complimentary flipflops for all guests. :)

I wish people wouldn't use imagevenue for photo uploads.
Just had porn/nudity popups everywhere on screen.
I was told off once for a slightly risque joke because children use the forum...how is this any better?
TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting is a great photo uploader and they never change the URL so the images will always be there unlike others...

The Copacabana Palace hotel used to be the most famous in Rio for quite a long time, and it's still a luxury hotel. Madonna, Paris Hilton and etc always stay there. Fasano's a luxury hotel as well, and nowadays it's considered to be Rio's most expensive and fancy. And it's located in the South Zone of the city, Ipanema, which is where the rich people like to hang and is next to Andrea Dellal's apartment. So it makes sense that Charlotte stays there. Also, even though it's regarded as the best hotel in Rio, the Fasano's not as high-profile as Copacabana. I mean, you certainly don't find people waiting on the streets to get a glimpse at someone in the balcony! I do remember reading once in a magazine that Charlotte usually stays at the Dellal's apartment, the one they have near Ipanema beach. I'm not really sure though. But given that Alexandra, Pierre, Andre and PC came this time too.. maybe she's staying with the family at the hotel. I really don't know.

^Oh yeah,the Copacabana Palace is still a major sponsor of the AOIHS and many of the riders stay there, but for some reason Athina chose to stay at the Fasano (it seems in accordance with her media-shy personality to stay in the more discreet hotel) and of course the Casiraghis like the Fasano because it's right at Ipanema Beach and, so close to the Dellals' condo. It must also be close to the SD's place. I think Charlotte spends much time at the Dellals', but yes, I think she stays at least partly in the hotel with her family because we did see her entering there after the shopping with her bodyguard.
Oh, by the way, one of those articles that preceded and predicted their physical detection in Rio also predicted they would stay at the Fasano. But this is no stroke of foresight. In January 2008, the Casi's were seen a lot, entering and exiting the hotel, and Andrea skating over to the beach! And I remember some more private Facebook pictures (via Alexia Niedzielski) from that time. These pics have long ago disappeared, but I distinctly remember some of the photos Alexia took of the gang all hanging out in the hotel suite. It looked exactly like one of the deluxe suites you can see pictures of on the Fasano website. Andrea was skateboarding in the suite as well as outside on the sidewalks!

CasiraghiTrio - I, too, recall the pics of Andrea skateboarding on the boardwalk; shopping w/Tatiana - it was before Charlotte was "offically" dating Alex Dellall, maybe 2 yrs ago?

Indeed! I was even surprised they guessed correctly 'cause this website's quite famous for lying. Is it the first time PC travels to Rio de Janeiro? I can't remember seeing pictures of her and Alexandra in Rio with the Casiraghis for the past years. Oh, and the amazing deluxe suites! I envy those Casiraghis. Have you checked the pool?
