Which ghetto? You need to look for some information on Paraty. From Wikipedia :" lush, green corridor that runs along the coastline of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Paraty has become a popular tourist area in recent years, renowned for the historic town and the coast and mountains in the region".
Yes, it is not a town where rich people live, only a touristic place. I don´t see what´s wrong with it.

Agreed. Seems to me that Norina should travel a little bit because between "ghetto" and "über-rich skyscraped neighbourghood" they are many shades.w
I don't see any ghetto or dangerous favella place on those pics, but a touristic area, with nice low houses painted in colours, and plenty of tourist buses.
If something, the area looks too touristy, certainly not "ghetto".

I live in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro and was very happy to know that Princess Caroline and her children came to our town to see the festivities of the end of the year.It´s nice to see that the Princess and her children were dressed just like we "cariocas"(inhabitants of Rio) do and also wearing our legendary and very comfortable havaiana sandals.
Last night´s party at Copacabana beach with a show of fireworks was probably enjoyed by the family, from one of the luxurious apartments in Avenida Atlantica.
For someone who thought they were in a ghetto, Paraty is a gorgeous typical and very old village. Part of it is from the time when Brasil was still an empire.

The woman holding an orange bag is Andrea Dellal, Alex's mother. I have no idea who the other woman is though!

AFAIK Charlotte has a degree (BA) in Philosophy. IIRC she is editor-at-large for Above magazine.

So guys, do you remember that website that talked about PC and the Casiraghis coming to Rio to celebrate the holidays? Well, right after they arrived I found myself several times looking for pics of PC and her offspring in that website. Now I know why they haven't published any-they don't know who the Casiraghis are! 
In this link right here they posted pictures of two men who they claim to be PC's sons. But of course they're not Andrea and Pierre. Check out the first and the second picture. The third picture is Charlotte on the pool at the hotel, which we've all seen.

I have been to Brazil.
It is not a country that has significant historical ties to follow any other country.It has no ancient past and no railway system to connect it.
Not surprised then that they may not know who the Grimaldi- Casiraghis are; of couse some know ; but they are not about to care
