it's always nice to see the family together! charlene looks beaming and charlotte's dress would look not great on so many people but she pulls it off really well.
who are the ladies in the second picture of the facebook gallery? there's an unrecognisable lady talking to tatiana and charlotte and one to the left of beatrice borromeo. who are they?

I think the woman on the left to Beatrice is Melanie de Massy.

Oh, what a pretty family. They are all good looking and dressed in perfect clothes. Why does Charlene always look sad?

Hmm, I don't know which pictures you're looking at, because the ones I've seen of PC at the event... she looks happy, poised, gorgeous!

In most pics. There's on post # 244 a series of pics, look at Pic 2, for example. She has a stamp of sadness on her face.

I looked again, especially at the pic you're referring to, and sorry, I don't see a "stamp of sadness". Instead, I see a beautiful woman who is soft, gentle, glowing, content. (I've seen her looking sad and fragile before, but this is certainly not one of those occasions.)

I also think she looks happier in these pics. Also her face seems to have filled out a bit, not so gaunt looking. And I do like the curl to her hair.

I hear that a lot and it always confuses me. I don't think she looks sad or is sad.
Growing up as a child and even now, people always told me that I looked angry or sad. It was frustrating because nothing could have been further from the truth. I even tried walking around with a forced hyena grin on my face for a couple of days before I realized how crazy looking I must have appeared to others and stopped.
I think Charlene is the same way. She seems shy and reticent at times but definitely not unhappy.

If you hear that a lot, then there must be others to whom she appears sad. It could be the expression of her face or the lights of the cameras or some deep rooted sadness. We don't know.

Argie, that's true. But my point was that I hear that a lot about myself too.
And nothing could be further from the truth.
Even before her wedding Charlene has always had a sort of blank, zoned out facial appearance that some observers felt made her look less than cheerful.

Yes, we don't know whether she's happy or not. She definitely should be and I hope she truly is. But then, one never knows what happens between closed doors. Even in princely families.

In my opinion, she seems quite happy, especially with Albert. They seem very in tune, to be expected, but she does have the face that when it goes into repose, or 'rest', defaults to a mode that can be interpreted as 'sad'. I would call it more 'pensive'. The same happens to other royals - Queen Elizabeth comes to mind. When she forgets to stay 'on' her face defaults to looking grumpy. She has even talked about it - she's aware that it happens. I think the same occurs for Charlene, except the default mode appears 'sad' depending how you 'inform' the image.

I don't understand why Caroline changed her wonderful white dress, that fitted her so much? I think the blue didn't flutter her very much, because it' s too wide for her slim body.

That is the most quietly logical explanation I have heard since the whole "she tried to flee France before her wedding" trash talk. That vile media assault would have totally destroyed a lesser person. It almost destroyed her wedding.
Good heavens, if that wasn't enough there has been a continual harping about her slacking on the job and not getting pregnant immediately and, when she does get pregnant the media would have her carrying twins!
So, perhaps today in a few quiet moments she was reflecting on how nice it was being unwell as the media were kept well and truely away. Now she's back, looking great en famille and probably wondering from whence the next barrage of garbage will come.

Charlene was not sad at this event, you can see that she was very smiling and even laughing when her shoe was taken in the floor. All the comments on differents sites are saying she is very stunning

when will the famous pic-nic in Monaco take place ? If I'm not mistaken it should be in few weeks right?

The picnic is usually held in September so there's a few more events to enjoy before then including the Red Cross Ball :)

I agree. Caroline looked fantastic in that white summer dress. But maybe she spilled something on it? White can be difficult to wear .

Yes I got confused when I saw Caroline in blue, but I have to say the necklace/choker is very eye catching. Caroline always has an interesting and original take on jewellery.
